The defense is using the OJ Simpson defense

Being a Lexus, it has all the bells and whistles. Back up camera. Sensors to indicate something is near side panels and bumper, and it probably can parallel park for you. The cameras and indicator beeps and alarms are sensitive. Depending on how new this Lexus is it can possibly have a camera that shows from above shot, and camera on screen of side views. There's no excuse of visibility was low due to dark or snow. The car is equipped with a number of sensors. to bad they can't pull that camera footage from car back up, side park cameras. It could be a smoking gun if so !

The defense has videos of everything proving Karen's innocence. The prosecution has given up, they know they have been embarresed in front of whole world trying to cover what Proctor, Higgins, and the Albert's did, especially Collin who is the main culprit along with the dog.

Seems like there is a lot of bad work in collection of the evidence; but could just be incompetence/ inexperience.. I'm not sure. I've seen this a lot - the investigation is flawed and unfortunately that leads to doubt, or questions about conclusions that can be drawn.

They had their testimony taken three times, once with Trooper Proctor shortly after the accident, who then took those notes and translated into a report. Second time was in front of a grand jury a couple months later to up the charges from manslaughter to second degree murder. A third time was in front of a federal grand jury one year later. Nobody will tell a story verbatim each time, if they did that is when you should be suspicious. The witnesses didn’t have their previous testimonies to review they went by memory each time interviewed. People do not understand how the human brain works and how recall will change with time. However, the fundamentals are the same, there will always be inconsistencies and the defense knows this and used it to their advantage.

btw Rick I see why ppl are mad at you - I am a fan btw just an FYI - meat eaters REPRESENT! :D Here's my explanation: the only party entitled to a FAIR trial is the accused - her in this case, the criminal defense attorney is LEGALY obligated to defend his client zealously and with everything legally allowed in order his client to "win", all the factors of the case looked separately yeah it looks far fetched but when you start combining them they build a "good" conspiracy case against her. Me personally, did she manslaughter him - yeah, will the jury find her guilty beyond a reasonable doubt - probably not. Cheers I Love your coverage and comparing it to other criminal defense attorneys it's really entertaining - keep up the good work!

I always respect Rick's opinion and usually agree - but here I still don't know what to think. I see Rick's points, but there are a lot of problems with the investigation and sketchiness with some of LE actions (at least to me). I don't think there was any big 'conspiracy'. I think sometimes mistakes can happen, and there are attempts to cover up or hide. I don't have the desire or energy to properly dig into it all to have an informed opinion... not now, anyway :)

A person can pass away from a car going slower than 30 miles per hour. Here, an off-duty cop stopped at a stop sign, then a 50-60 year-old woman started to cross the street (the xing?). Stevie Wonder would've seen her, but the fuzz hit her with his pick-up. Witness(es) saw him performing CPR on her, but she died.

FML -- I paused this video, walked away for 4mins, came back not remembering you're screen capturing the video. Before I walked of I was going WTF on the CC Close Caption not working. I spent the past 5 minutes trying to get the mouse to work, I see the mouse on screen, on the video, I start clicking going WTF. I hit a bookmark and page changed, still seeing your mouse more WTF.

As a fan i hope you are just playing devil's advocate. This case stinks to high heaven. This justify the police brotherhood shit is tone deaf. Innocent until proven guilty and every day the prosecution drags this case forward is another day they disprove their case. Complete failure on every level!

14:35 - Rick, you clearly are skipping large parts of this trial. Everyone knows the judge has had to tell the lazy prosecutor repeatedly and some witnesses to "keep your voice up" so everyone can hear them or they'll have to turn the A/C off. This was shortly after that. The judge has shut the A/C off multiple times because of the prosecutor, never the defense because they always speak up.

Still can’t accept that the body only had injuries to the head , doesn’t seem consistent with being run down .

Don't forget the dog bite marks on his forearm... After the remodel of the basement, selling of the home, the dog had to be "re-homed" due to behavior issues so its teeth cant be used to match the bite marks.

Thanks for the videos rick I dont think all the people are involved, but I think her and the cop she was cheating with are guilty and the outcome, they will find her guilty and they will say she was mentally unstable at the time of murder, she wont do no prison time.. she will go to looney bin for a few months, and she will be free to run off into the sunset with her new boyfriend the cops friend. I think that will be the outcome
