It stated in the video that some of the insults were adlibbed and not in the script. Also, there are other interviews detailing how Eddie Griffin and Malcolm Jamal Warner did not get along on this series due to professional issues. It's plausible that his dislike for Malcolm boiled over to Eddie insulting his girlfriend.

She was gorgeous! This is why it's called "television!" They "tell lies to your vision!" She was a very attractive woman who played a character who was supposed to be unattractive or "ugly," and we were supposed to believe it.

I met her in NY when I was young and not only was she beautiful but her personality was just as beautiful.

Malcolm did state in a interview he did not like Eddie they didn’t like each other but they was able to come together and pray before the show maybe that’s one of the reasons why he didn’t like him talking about his girlfriend.

Because years ago when she was attending Howard University, she and I worked as counselors at this summer camp for kids. Man…..I remember drooling over her thinking how fine she was! She was a bad lil vixen to me! Especially when we would take the kids to the swimming pool. Man…..her in a bathing suit!!! 👀👀👀 Wow!!! It’s funny to me now because I used to chase after her boy! But she wouldn’t give me the time of day back then. Lol…. That’s why the news of her being so distraught about her appearance just blew me!!! I know Hollywood can be a tough business and if you don’t handle it, it will handle you! I’m glad she bounced back, but I wish she was as strong as Halle Bailey.
