You don't get to make lewd comments about other girls in front of your girl thus making her upset and then when she communicates that she is upset by what you're saying, call her abusive because you feel guilty but don't wanna admit that you did wrong.

Honestly that part made me question if she was the abusive one or the boyfriends just gaslighting her That is a clear boundary she tried to set for obvious reasons and to call that abusive kinda just sounds abusive itself. Maybe its he's honest and it was how she said it and he didn't mean to label abuse straight away but it just rubs me the wrong way helping some of my friends abusive relationships

Yeah it seems like he picked a perfect victim. Someone who asks you to tell them when they're being abusive so you can never be in the wrong and they're always the abuser. Like cmon you can't gaslight someone by doing and saying things they don't like that hurts them and no woman would like and then acting surprised when she gets upset about it what the f*** was That

  • @recycledapathy7411

It's a pretty common tactic for abusers to claim to be the victim. The best counter to such an accusation is just saying, "I'm sorry if I was abusive to you, and since I care about you, I'm packing my stuff and leaving. For your health." The abuser will then do what the boyfriend in the story did, and backtrack and be all, "oh no no, I didn't say abuse, I said something else because I'm making you question your own judgement so I can keep abusing you." And hell, if you think you're legit abusing someone, and you feel bad about it, it's best to cut contact anyway. Tell them you need a break to think about things, and go talk to a therapist, without your partner, to determine if you're actually mistreating them or if they're being a gaslighting asshat. If you're being abusive, therapy can help you learn better coping techniques. If you're actually the victim of abuse, therapy can help you recognize that so you don't repeat the pattern with your next partner.

For the last story I checked for an update and it seems they didn't find a brain bleed or anything like that. It was just a really bad migraine. As to all the non-US people wondering why she didn't go to the hospital with the tingling and numbness, our healthcare is that bad, yes.

Good to know that she was ok. I remember my first bad migraine, I was puking and my eyesight went blurry and I just wanted to drill a hole in my head to let the demons out (yes, I was a weird teenager who read about medieval medicine, lol). My mom helped me get through it because she got them too, and later we did go to the doctor to get a CT scan, which was clean. That was the first, but not the last really bad migraine I had - in fact, I had a few that were worse, and I can remember them, because in each case I got excused from work that day and sent to the doctor - in one supervisor's words, "What are you doing here? You look like hell. Go to the doctor and then go home." One of the only good things about getting old is that I only have a migraine about twice a year now, and they're really mild, especially compared to the ones my daughter now gets. I told her that's the crappy heirloom that's been passed down our family line from mother to daughter for at least 4 generations that I know of.

Story 2…so we just completely ignored the fact that her so called boyfriend talks about how hot other women are around OP and how that is a very good reason for her to be upset. I’ve been around guys I’ve liked and guys I’ve dated who have done that and I felt awful. I would constantly compare myself to those women and I was really depressed and felt I would never be pretty enough or good enough. To me I think the so called boyfriend is the abusive a hole. He is using things he knows hurts and upsets her to hurt her and upset her. That’s not healthy. I hope her therapist tells her what’s really going on and OP leaves that abusive toxic relationship. Story 4. I went to a very small school and the cheerleading coach was also the volleyball coach and the health/drivers Ed teacher. She was also 1 of 2 PE teachers. She is amazing. Very kind. She took me to get my drivers license on my 16th birthday. I got to miss some of school to go do that. She even got me a gift for my graduation. She helped me to not get expelled my senior year after I fell down the stairs and left without permission. I had to do a few months of after school detention with her. She never used my learning disability to insult me or make me feel bad. She always made me feel better about myself. I do wish more teachers were like her.

OP gets mad at bf because bf doesn't what and when she wants things done. I'm going to assume they are both renting because there was no mention by the OP of OP moving into bf's house. Final Judgement: Both parties are guilty OP : Lack of communication (No mention of a serious, discussion with her bf ) between OP and bf bf: Not enough effort put into helping around the house regardless of whether OP cleaning around It doesn't sound like the bf isn't refusing to help out around. Honestly, if your partner says, "Tell me what I need to do" then you should hand them a to-do list. That is their stuff to do, and they can't say they weren't told to do it. Maybe it's because my husband and I are ex-military, but both of us do really well with a checklist, because it was drilled into us to go over the daily/weekly/quarterly checklist for years. When I start getting overwhelmed, I sit down and make a list of everything that needs to be done, and I put it on the fridge. Then both of us can look at the list, pick something to do, and then check it off. If it's not on the list, we both forget to do that thing until it becomes obvious that it needs doing. If it's on the list, we have to make a conscious choice on whether or not to do that thing right now or check to see if it's okay to put it off until later.

For the Lazy boyfriend story, I do have one critique. Just because he works from home doesn't mean he automatically has more time to handle at home tasks. My mom works from home, and during her work hours, she is so busy, she doesn't have time to do major things like laundry. I'm not saying this dude is in the same position, and obviously he does need to help, but assuming that he has more time to help just because he's WFH isn't a good take.

My daughter attended a small, private school. In first grade a new teacher came in. She seemed nice enough and it’s first grade, hard to mess that up. Well, three months into the school year (3 months, remember that) I get a call from the principal. She told me my daughter had told another little girl that she wanted to suck on her “area that’s used to feed an infant”. (I won’t use the exact words, but it is not the word our family uses for that part of the body.). I FREAK the F out!!! I tell my boss I have a family emergency and I leave work. It’s a two hour drive from work to her school. The whole time I’m on the phone with my best friend in a panic. Where did she get that idea? If it wasn’t g rated, it wasn’t on our tv. And we only watched tv together. And where did she hear that word? Who was teaching these things to my 6 yr old little girl??? And what else had they been doing? Where and when was this happening? I know I work a lot of hours but I really thought the people in our lives were all safe…. I failed my baby girl. I didn’t protect her. I finally get to the school and immediately go to the principals office. The teacher and principal were both in her office. As I walk in the principal says, very cautiously, “There’s been a mistake.” Huh? What? Mistake? What are you talking about? Well it seems teacher mistook my daughter for another “blonde haired, blue eyed girl” in the class. These kids have been in her class 3 months!!! There were only 12 kids and only 7 of those were girls! WTF? I lost my shit!! I don’t know everything I said, but the principal never stopped me. Everything I said was directed at the useless teacher. The teacher was bawling and had snot running down her face. It was disgusting! When you screw up, take your ass chewing like an adult. My daughter, along with 5 other students were removed from her class and advanced to the 2nd grade class. When the year was ending, I made it a point to ask the board if that teacher was going to be back. The board did not invite her back the following year. Lost her job and had to move somewhere else, because after that no other school in the area would hire her. I don’t think that’s really sufficient for the years taken off my life in that two hour drive…

For Story #4: When I was in High School my main teacher during an IEP meeting with my mom said “Oh, He can’t handle Algebra so he’ll just get a Certificate of Completion instead of a Diploma.” My Mom’s response was “No! He’ll be getting a Diploma!” I took Algebra my Senior Year and passed with an A+. I was my Algebra Teacher’s favorite student and we would make jokes during class.

I don't understand why the girl with that crises didn't pay a visit to the GP, from the beginning, or even call an ambulance, as the symptoms might indicate something very bad, like a brain tumour or something...

40 Minutes..? Goodness.. she's lucky. Could be 40 hours too. Though the big M absolutely sucks and nobody who hasn't been through this has the right to talk it down. Or even claim to have it when it's merely an ache.. It's so grossly underestimated a disease people with big M should form a union and knock some sense into society.

First story: Well having worked in retail for over 20 years, I can say that the Karen was up to something or just wanted someone to serve her. She could have been hoping that OP would leave the register to help her and then her accomplice would go behind the counter and try to open the drawer or steal something. Then when that didn't work, she pulled the racist card hoping to get something free for compensation. We don't know the races of the people involved, but it may surprise us if we did find out.

The first story, after she walked back he should of just walked her over to the checkout. She probably felt very stupid because she kept missing it and just wanted someone to hold her hand, regardless of what she initially said. It bothers me that she was just confused at first and then tried the race card like thats a last ditch effort to not look dumb. 🙄

About the teacher story. I was in special needs classes in high school (even tho I told them that I can handle normal classes) the teachers treated me like I was stupid and had that glassy eyed look like they didn't care and that your just a brain dead person who's giving them money. This teacher sounds a lot like my ex teachers. Mean and make very under handed comments. So I get the OP's perspective. I applaud OP for sticking up to themselves. Sorry for the rant and thanks for reading. This topic is always important to me. Because no one thinks about mentally handicapped people. Thankfully I'm on the high functioning side so I can pass as normal but I keep the positive traits of autism.

Story 1: That Karen is just clearly trying to cause a scene.... and then try and pull the race card for some unknown reason. I hate people like that. Story 2: Sounds like both of you have issues that need addressing.... Story 3: The bf is definitely a lazy slob. It's fine that he works too, but he still needs to contribute to the household chores. Story 4: That teacher should feel lucky she only got demoted and not fired. You really have to wonder how some people get to be teachers. Story 5: Wow, sure hope the OP's gf is doing better, a brain bleed is very serious. At least the interviewers were understanding here, hopefully they let the OP do the interview again and give him a shot.

Story #2: you’re boyfriend is a total jerk l! I’m sorry girl but open your eyes…he’s toxic in the way that he’s saying ur “abusive” for basically expressing how you feel! Which is exactly what he’s been doing. And what he is doing is absolutely not right and you need to know that. I’m sorry but he says things about people’s butts and thighs and whatever other body part and you should be okay it’s because if your not it’s abusive? That’s ridiculous! Aside from loving you a partner also need to respect you. You’ve expressed you feel bad about that and it’s not wrong. I would be too. And he needs to understand that you have feelings and you should be respected as well. He needs to change his attitude girl and if he can’t then , you need to get out of there. It’s gonna hurt but, I have been there and it’s just the better thing to do for yourself!
