Not completely. OP said the woman didn't ask, but she actually did if the dialogue is accurate. She said 'do you mind'. That's asking, so there was no reason for OP to be rude and snarky about it. She could've just said POLITELY that no, she paid extra to sit where she was and suggested that she find out if the person next to her husband qualified to sit in the exit row, and if so, to trade with them so she could sit with her husband. Chances are that the woman had paid extra for her seat as well and was just trying to get a more expensive seat for her husband for regular price, but OP still could've handled it far more civilly.

@@ThomasWLalor As I said, I believe it could and should have been handled in a more civil manner. OP offering a suggestion of another way for the woman to sit with her husband would go a long way toward making the flight more comfortable for all. Would 'no' cover it, yes. Would it probably make the flight uncomfortable for all? Also yes. Sometimes doing just the bare minimum isn't the best way to handle a situation.

On the fifth story, op I'm 100% with you on this. They NEED TO LEAVE.

Story 5 - OP is wrong about one thing. DO NOT immediately pick up the baby when it cries. That is stupid and will be a big problem in the future. Story 6 - You never should've had that nonsense turned on to begin with.

I’d have offered my seat for $500 in cash (or more depending on my ticket costs). If I get an attitude as a result, I up the price.

It seems like there are more Karen’s and Narcissist people nowadays than there ever was before.

Story 6: The OP is definitely not the jerk. The mother of this story has not only crossed boundaries, but also invaded privacy at every turn. So turning off the location thing was the right thing.

I get your point but that person might not qualify to sit in an exit row due to health issues or being elderly. They could have asked around to see if there was an available trade though.

3)The father sounds like he was a "professional students" and a member of "The Animal House" frat. It is a mystery as to why his parents kept on paying after 4-5 years of college. When someone says "you need to" they are really saying "you have to". He said that forking over was what the grandparents would have wanted. Is he a "Medium". 4)Has to be from outside of the US. Pilots will land at the nearest airport. The dimbulb would face federal charges.

Being 6'2 myself at 15, and my dad paying extra for seats so I'm comfortable, I completely understand op, being crunched up in plane seats or any small seats for more the 5 minutes can be hell

Second story. OP mom needs to get over it. Either go to niece's party as invited or don't, but quit whining. You have to put up with your kids. Others don't. By her own admission her non-invited kids are a handful. Hosts are not required to deal with that, family or not. I'm guessing that OP is leaving out a lot and that their behavior at the mentioned dinner was an anomaly and not the norm and since they're renting the event space they don't want to risk any damages.

I don't agree with the first story I'm sorry what a 7-month-old is going to cry whether you like it or not I don't care if you have a business or job or you're a stay-at-home mom but you let family live with you and if you didn't want to deal with that you should have never let the move in with you in the first place
