My Father has been a maintenance man at a Christian school for over 20 years, as long as I’ve been alive, and has worked everyday of those 20 years to put food on the table and put me through school. Everybody at his work loves him and I’m grateful to him for all he has sacrificed for me. He always pushed me so that I wouldn’t end up like him and I thank him for it. Anytime I see a janitor or a maintenance man doing his job I’d give him a pat on the back and tell him he’s doing great.

I don't no why anyone looks down on someone for a job. Every job is important. Like if no janitors . The place would look a mess . More time teacher would have stay to clean. We need garbage man ( sorry not sure if they have a different title) heck I'm nurse working to be debt free . After I pay off my house I want to walk dogs , an maybe a janitor best job don't deal with ppl cute dogs also ppl don't talk to the janitor lol u can work in Peace

Finally, lessons in positive kindness towards others. Being a senior citizen this reaffirms that people for the most part are kind and decent.

We have a friend that makes over 100k a year. He works two hours a day in three buildings five days a week. If you're going to be a janitor be the best one possible.

Ever notice how bullies are never alone? That's because bullies are cowards. There are also a good many psychological issues that cause their destructive behavior. I was a counsellor for years; heard it all.

My grandfather worked maintenance at a public school his whole life. When he died there were so many people at his church service there were people who had to stand outside. He was so well loved and respected by the entire community. He never went to church although he would help my grandmother out when they needed extra hands. One earns respect by being a good person.
