Karate Concept: Gi Manipulations | Throws, Chokes, Pulls

Working some gi manipulations with the v2.0 gi & finding chokes/throws within kata.
We believe the gi is a skill development tool just like anything else. Therefore learning different techniques such as chokes and grips make altercations more realistic. Just like someone grabbing onto a coat or a shirt in public.
Pre-orders now available - check out the new gi here: www.karatecultu...

I'd love to see a Video about or how to transition from striking into grabling/throws. I know you already have an older Video on covering distance with striking, yet I still have a problem with connecting my karate with judo

If any of you guys living in San Antonio are looking for a karate dojo, don't hesitate to join Karate Culture. I had the privilege of training with sensei Michael and sensei Aaron for a couple of years in south Texas. They're both amazing instructors!

Very impressive, specially choking techniques. They seems so simple but deadly. It would be even better if you adapt these techniques with modern clothing.

Tried this sleeve grip you showed in judo a couple of days ago and was great! Able to pin the arm of my opponent for a while. The deadweighing was a different story though 🤨

Could you guys suggest some training methodologies to adapt my karate to MMA style fighting, because I've recently joined an MMA gym too and I'm hoping to use some moves (you gotta represent!). I'm a goju-ryu and shotokan practitioner, so techniques from there is cool.

These guys train BJ J also and all of this is jiu jitsu. However, real old school karate has a lot of this too. I'm guessing this is a mix of their various experiences.
