Karan Johar’s most tight script . Perfect marriage of opulence , story and addressing social issues without getting preachy .. the movie stays with you beyond the viewing and makes you question which bias in society do u partake ! And that is it’s biggest achievement.. it grows on you like a fine wine !

"without getting preachy" what a lie

The biggest appreciation to Karan will be the amount of faith he put on his writers & the way he can't stop crediting them for all the succcess. This follows quite well the recent trend where he's been stating off-screen that writers require to be empowered pretty much. Big kudos to Ishita Moitra for the excellent dialogues in this movie after Dharma went so horribly wrong with their last production, Brahmastra.

I had tears when song Kudmayi came. Beautiful songs, amazingly made movie.

He asked some really 'Inside the writer's head' questions like Why Jamini's husband had to be abusive? was it a justification?

Loved the movie. Going again tomorrow. Don’t remember when I last saw a Hindi movie twice in a theater. 😅

Please release an uncut version of the movie with all the scenes, Karan!! There's so many scenes missing in the actual movie, that I see in trailers and songs. Can't get enough of Rocky Randhawa!

@@Smokester6669 yeah it's true but it was past he is doing original stuff from 2012.. and if you don't know.. in 2000's rights or remake rights were not that needed so bollywood has copy's so many movies and they have used the soundtracks of original to remake.. few directors has said that we told pritam that we have bought the rights of songs and you can remake them.. that's why pritam has used that tunes...even pritam said in one interview that if a director or producer likes a musical tune or bg they buy rights and tell me to recreate it and in past i did it becz i thought they bought the rights but they were lying and everyone started pointing guns towards me... So after that i always say no to remaking a bought tune ...this is what pritam said.. Indian audience only knows one side of the coin and starts to write anything... . And tell me one thing you say he copy's and all.. bro he has worked one more than 150 Films .. he has something special that's why he is still here from 2 decades

Karan's films have always had an emotional heft. He is great at making Human drama. this was a good entertaining film though sounded preachy at times. Overall, the impact was really nice. He should make his kind of cinema. Emotions, relationships, love, family - there are so many unexplored aspects of these topics.

He tapped into the zeitgeist. And empathy was in built in the narrative

Loved the movie. Its a classic and will be watching it multiple times. A classic. Thank you karan for giving us a true bollywood classic

M frm those people who have loved KJOs movies despite its flaws and this was a movie where he proved everyone he's flawless which itself is a great compliment frm me as a KJO and SRK fan..... No matter what people say Karan be urself I liked u den I like u now and seems like I will love u forever being 90s kid and watching his growth I feel immensely happy.... Stay Blessed and shining Karan love frm a guy who's been not paid by any PR neither wanna be an actor and Ranveer in this movie just stole everything not just the show ❤️😘

Good interview, but I must say that the interviewer saying "wow" to literally everything KJo says is extremely annoying

Why is this a exact repeat of what Karan spoke to Anupama Chopra.... Guys try and bring some uniqueness to the interview..and please stop saying wow wow to whatever the guest has to say. It's irritating. As for the film itself, while i didn't enjoy the film, what stayed with me was the rock hard conviction karan had in backing his sensibilities and deliver what he believed to be right up his alley... The movie to me was Bollywood stereotypes and cliches galore, but that's what it was intended to be me all along .. But that's only me.

RARKPK is fantastic. I somehow dislike this interviewer..donno why..remember him from NDTV and India today !

The questions and Karan’s responses are too much similar to the interview he had with with Anupama Chopra, feels scripted therefore. This interview should have had a slightly different flavour

He only gives the questions! This is total PR exercise to declare a flop movie as successful. He himself admitted to that in an interview. He’ll get PR to declare his movies a hits if you look at the india net collections you’ll see they all didn’t work.

The movie is good but i don't understand why they are creating a perception down the audience's throats that the movie is a superhit already. Tell me the last time there was a success party of the film on day 1 of release? Tell me the last time all critics unanimously praised the film so much that not even single flaw was highlighted? Tell me the last time a director is giving interviews for film's success even before 1 week completion of it's threatre run?

In kjos own words he buys critics and can declare flop movies hit through PR. He said that and it’s on record. Comment section is filled with his PR to write positive things
