I am a student living in lahore for almost 4 years now and I must say its safest city along with ISL during these dharna lock down across Pakistan we went for a cup of tea at 2:00 Am in gulberg after receiving various calls from my parents to stay inside I was surprised to see most of them were families at tea shop and no tension at all baki bhai most of the city is clean indaron wali side may kabhi gaya nai so works for me!

Agree sir. Karachi ko nazarandaz Kia jata ha.. ma punjabi hn but we are here since 50 years.. Karachi itni bari GDP generate karta ha.. or management.. 0

visiting karachi after 21 years. came from lahore. such a great commercial City. just cleanliness is only one remaining issue i feel. but a great City for business. lahore is nowhere near to this level of maturity of business. katachi is a bomb City. yeah ppl are distributed but that is the same in Sydney and every great City it's alike. i love karachi. no doubt lahore is now cleaner due to loyal consistent management. hopefully cleaning will happen to karachi soon ....

How I wish, I could invite him to India , I can assure a full house as there are so many of my fellow Indian's who enjoy his content. Junaid bhai's language is so much everyday Hindi /Punjabi mix, that for a moment one felt its a local Bambaiya Sindhi/Punjabi speaking about our own Mumbai. To take load of Mumbai, satellite cities have been wisely encouraged and developed, such as my own Pune, Thane, Nagpur and Nashik, which have become ITES nerve centers. Incidentally, as per Ease of Living Index assessment carried out by the GoI, Pune was voted as the most livable city in India). GOI has designated 100 smart cities, PK Govt may consider the same to take the load of Karachi. In this Covid lockdown, we miss the night Ramadan food malls with superlative non-veg food in Pune, which we have been enjoying with my Muslim friends for decades. 1947 migrants from India who were real migrants never did a slogan of mohajir they were just so pride in being a Pakistani but this 2nd and 3rd generation while owning citizenship and passport of Pakistan call themselves mohajir how absurd is that? A balanced and candid account of the Karachi situation. Junaid Bhai is spot on about the state of affairs in Karachi. Provincial Government and the Karachi city administration are both guilty of rank negligence in fulfilling even the most basic of their duties. There has been a minor change for the better lately in the state of affairs on cleanliness and city administration activities. But a lot of improvement is still needed to turn things around for the better.

I am not from Karachi but I did live there for 4 years and those were the best days of my life. It is indeed human nature that we tend to associate our good or bad times with the place where we were living. But Karachi truly has that essense that can be felt no where else. The moment I landed in Lahore, I can't forget the intense feeling of wanting to go back to Karachi, But as they say humans are adaptable. I just want Karachi to fluorish as It used to before. And to all Karachiites, Please own that city, take pride in it- as it is one of the best cities one could ever live in.

I am from Lahore. Some of my relatives live in Karachi and my mother had spent time in Karachi in her childhood and she always tells us how much she liked karachi and always wanted to live there. Indore is India's cleanest city since last 3 years. This happened because of the citizens of Indore Who changes their habits to keep the city clean. Also the civic bodies contributed for waste management. Great efforts.

But we have not these type of problems. There are different cities now,like Delhi , Mumbai , Banglore , Hyderabad , Chennai , Kolkata , Ahmedabad , Surat all of these cities are specialist in different filled . 20 years back it was only Mumbai .

honestly, karachi with its immense potential could have been the biggest metropolis between east and the west. karachi could have been like dubai, the state which people oftenly use to get to other countries as direct flights dont even fly from pakistan. yar seaside hai, kasam se ina he kafi tha, sea jitni bari attraction hai, aur koi bhi nahi

Also the "70% revenue" is a myth, yes Karachi collects 62% of all the revenue, but that doesn't mean it "generates" it, it does however, generate 35% of all the taxes in the country.

@Science Boy yes, I understand, what I'm saying is different. If you read the comment he says that Karachi collects 62% of the revenue including the revenue generated by other cities however 35% of that 62% is generated in Karachi. I hope you understand that. And so on that I was saying that it's still impressive.

​@Science Boy Karachi "collects" 62% of the total revenue generated by the entire country through imports exports or whatever, it does not "generate" that much revenue, in fact I'd say it doesn't really generate that much revenue for the entirty of the country may be more than other cities on an individual level though. Karachi however generates 35% of the total "tax" the government collects from Pakistan.

Born and raised in Karachi then moved to Rawalpindi in 2013, came back in 2020....but still I don't feel safe in Karachi. Applied for University in UK. Hope so I can go there in the upcoming months.

Discrimination against Karachi is the main reason. Instead of helping the only true megacity in Pakistan, we discriminated against this city. Change it. Let Karachi be under its native citizens. A lot of people from out of Karachi have zero care and zero love for the city. They are not going to care much about the city.
