I think seperating art from the artist is fine in some cases, but when consuming that art entails directly financially supporting them, it's not fine. For example, I'd say writing harry potter fanfiction and reading pirated JK rowling books is fine, but if you actually go out and buy a harry potter book then that's not good.

An artist alone can not make a work of art "great" by association alone, and vice versa. In that if an artist made a great work, that does not make the artist in turn great. Also, he MADE it. People can change, sometimes for the worse. I am going to say I don't give a flying buttress about most modern art, but I do care about anaylsis. What I am trying to say is not be biased. Separating the art from the artist is very difficult when the artist is still alive EDIT I suppose I should clarify, I never liked Kanyes music and i never really liked him. Also what I mean by this is that when the artist is still alive, its hard to just ignore their actions while also buying/supporting their work. You are either supporting them financially, which in turn lets them continue their shit, or just supporting their ego since they still have people buying their stuff. Thats why its hard. Sometimes the stuff they make is good but the person making them is not. Do you try and just ignore that and buy it anyway? Or do you miss out.

Separating the art from the artist really is a tough topic. There is also the how different of a person was somebody in the past compared to today. We always hear about the people who did something bad in the past and have since changed or apologized for it get targeted for those decades old things. But I guess this is the first of the opposite.

Ye stood up against anti-white hate, and a deluge of Jewish people started attacking him and threatening him, so he started talking about his own personal life experiences dealing with jewish individuals in the business world, and so he was attacked and threatened even harder by an even bigger deluge of Jewish people. So he just went ahead and said what we all already knew and were thinking: Jews have a lot of power, it's undeniable that they occupy a lot of positions of influence in media and can mobilize mass campaigns of violence such as BLM riots.
