its crazy because i have haters on my page about me breaking down the lyrics. i literally set out to try to breakdown lyrics the best on youtube. i watch this one and i feel he also saw another void in the way people do reaction videos. i am only pissed because i wish i would of thought of some of the way it is produced lol. point is creators make shit cuz they think you would like what they feel they would like so fuck off

@@ProfessorLyrics Isn't it more the point that people who want to learn about the story behind the lyrics should look up videos about the story behind the lyrics... probably by someone called Professor Lyrics? I thought I'd made it quite clear there would be no insight here by stressing that I'm listening to a record once through with no interruptions. Very little opportunity for me to dive into the lyrics... yet every day, without fail, someone will accuse me of talking over some allegedly great 'bar'. I kinda gave up about 50 videos ago! Ha ha! I have to admit I'm surprised at how much people claim to be interested in lyrics. As a songwriter it's something I've never experienced in the flesh. All I've ever really experienced, in person, is total and utter ambivalence. Ha ha! Good luck with the lyrical dissecting Professor. There is definitely a desire out there for it.

@@mercurialno6 I guess it’s especially popular in hip hop due to how the genre inherently leaves a greater focus on the lyrics. But yeah, it’s only one element of what makes a great song or album and it can be frustrating when all people focus on are the bars or one liners

i disagree tho like the words are so important to some songs tho. people relate to lyrics which is why they like certain songs. some people don’t understand the message of certain songs without reactors and that’s why they like the lyric analysis. + it’s exciting to see the reaction of a hard bar music shouldn’t just be about lyrics but lyrics are so important in hiphop, it’s what distinguishes rapper ability

I disagree. Lyrics should be filtered through your own mind, life and imagination. You shouldn't need to have someone explain them to you. What makes you think these 'experts' are correct with their explanations? I've even had songs spoiled for me by being explained by the bloody songwriter. Songs that had an emotional impact kinda ruined by the songwriter telling me what they're "really" about. I'm getting a bit fed up of arguing this point. Where do people keep getting the idea that I don't think lyrics are important? Bloody hell. Lyrics are as important as they need to be. Some nonsensical lyrics make songs. Sometimes it's "oooh aaaah"... sometimes it's a political manifesto. I used to read Ritchie Edward's lyrics like a book. And Kurt Cobain's. Lyrics are important. But, also, they can be completely irrelevant. I've loved songs for years without knowing the words. Or singing the wrong words. So what? And can non-English speakers not enjoy English music? Can I not enjoy French or Japanese songs? In all the songs I've ever written no-one has ever asked me about the lyrics. Never! Not even members of my bands. Fan boys sometimes care. People in general don't. Lyrics are important. Sometimes they're more important than the 'backing track'. But it's still being delivered as music. Sound is important. It is a package. It doesn't have to be dissected. It can be... and often is ...but it doesn't HAVE to.

I find it way more important just to generally vibe with the music on the first listen and not force myself to analyze or interpret, just listen. I think you do a lot of the same, but with a lot more musical knowledge than me (which definitely shows) which helps you actually communicate what you are listening to. It's really interesting to watch, love the content

not sure if you're going through kanye's discography chronologically, but you'd be thrilled by MBDTF and The Life of Pablo. Lots of musical exploration and unique sounds in those two!

I’m just happy that through everything people are still listening to Kanye’s records. His music got me through hard times as well as Childish Gambino. They’re the sole reason I began making music. I hope I can get one of my projects on this channel in the future. I never seen anybody listen to music like this guy but it’s so entertaining and informative getting a different take from a genre of music I love.

Your energy while listening to these albums is infectious and a breath of fresh air for 'reaction' channels. (You channel is very clearly more than just a reaction channel though.) All in all this channel is fantastic.

Honestly this album has his best instrumentals by far in my opinion, using an orchestra pretty much throughout the whole album, it’s no surprise there’s another version of this album called “Late Orchestration”

Late Registration was my introduction to Kanye West, and i loved it right away. Kanye's old music always made me want to get up and dance

Yeezy season ahead... I rejoice but also I am scared... I am scared that you'll listen to 808s & heartbreak, and then My Beatiful dark Twisted Fantasy and maybe the Life of Pablo... As much as I can't wait to watch you listen to and discover these amazing and complex pieces of art, I still fear the emptiness that will come after, the same emptiness I feel whenever I listen to something life changing, attach my emotions, my own experience onto it and then years later I am struck with poetic but bitter nostalgia. Yes I will never hear it for the first time again in my life... So beautiful, so haunting, so painful... But thank god there is still so many albums other than kanye's, and still a lot of music to come for a hip hop head... oh man when u started singing Portishead over Drive Slow, chills son fr. love ur channel man :D Your point at the end about people making music because they have to really hit home. I've pretty much always been making some sort of music.most of it is really bad, not gonna lie haha, but whenever I'm like fuck this and I quit making music I get extremely depressed. So I feel like I have to keep doing it. Its like a form of meditation and it helped me deal with alot of my emotions that I wasn't comfortable talking to people about. First heard about Danny Brown when someone compared him to Company Flow. Seemed odd to me at first, because today CoFlow sounds like run of the mill boom bap, but back at the time it was cutting edge experimental. El-P as Rapper producer has one of the most interesting progressions in hip-hop. Topically and lyrically Fandam is his best, but production wise I'll sleep when you are dead is his magnus opus. It's a great starter, because it carries such a energetic vibe to it even if you can't comprehend the abstract lyrics like most of us lol. Not his most disorienting sound, but generally with the 00s albums he was 10 years ahead of the curve. The megamixes also have some hidden gems on it. Don't see any connection to Kanye though lol no offense
