Kanye West - Brothers/Violent Crimes (feat. Ant Clemons, 070 Shake & Chance The Rapper)
I originally was going to incorporate the og brothers into this but everything I tried sounded very awkward and unnatural to me so I decided to go with this instead.
Thank you for watching!

    This is not a matter of belief. Just look at all the leaks. But thats the thing. The best artists know that even if something is good you cant always release it. If its not right for him then its not right. Picasso once mercilessly destroyed several of his paintings because they didnt live up to his standards. The best artists know when to cut their work. They dont have an emotional attachment to it. Its about excellence.

    I am sorry yo, i don´t want to be a hater in anyway but i think "ye" and "Jesus is King" are the weakest projects kanye has dropped. Alongside cruel summer and watch the throne. These projects just don´t seem ambitious man. It´s good beats but nothing special, and the lyrics are very interchangable in my opinion. All other projects are at least extreme in some facette and have a strong concept behind them that he strictly follows. 808 has the distorted autotune with AMAZING broadway melodies and 808 Piano Beats. Dark Fantasy is this super grande album of fame, money power, Hip-Hop, Rock, Orchestra, Maximalism. Yeezus needs not much explaining. Ye and jesus is king are so pale bro. I don´t know man. I would actually really appreciate if you gave me your perspective

  • @kiandocherty3589

    @kiandocherty3589

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@McLuvin Jesus is King was a mess, no denying that. Have to disagree with you on Ye though. Ye means "you" in the bible and on the opening track "I thought about killing you" the title of the track can be seen as saying "I thought about killing Ye". Incredibly smart writing about wanting to kill himself while saying the target is "you" when that is just an alternative word for "Ye". Addressing the various ego's of Kanye West, Yeezy, Yeezus and Ye, playing into the mental health aspect of the record. Then "All Mine" is talking about his very public sex addiction that he feels cripples his emotional capacity. "Ghost Town" is about the freedom of embracing mental illness but how terrifying that power can be; 070 Shake sings about not feeling pain as she touches hot stoves to see if she still feels, a metaphor for that freedom: dangerous but freeing.

    @@muertomoridodesaparecido I honestly think it's more for his children. He's been very vocal and involved in the process of getting masters (master copies of tracks) back to the artists from the hands of multi-billion dollar conglomerates. I think if the tracks ever do see the light of day they will be independently released and potentially even by his estate after his passing if the need ever arises. As opposed to revitalising his career. You have to remember he didn't even have children at the time of MBDTF let alone being the sole owner of a billion dollar fashion brand. If he needs to do so I think the tracks will be new ones he doesn't mind purely commercialising and not old, saved tracks. I believe the bulk of the tracks he has are from the first half of his career that weren't made on studio time or while he was signed to one of these big labels who could try to claim them

    I've always had my older brother's back and he's done nothing but betray me and let me down my whole life. This song hits different for me. I've had to go out and find my own brothers. Though we may not be related by blood I've managed to find a few people I can consider my real brothers and at times I want to let them know how much they mean to me, but men aren't allowed to share their feelings. I just try to show them through my actions, but I wish I could tell them how much they mean to me without it being uncomfortable lol.

If he were to apologize or even just make an effort to be in my life I would be willing to let go of all the times he fucked me over but he's too much of a coward and would rather run from his shitty actions than admit he did something wrong.

    This track is profound in that it expresses the beauty of innocence perfectly. Truly a mature project from Ye.
