Kanye for sure did not go downhill after this album. Out of his 10 studio albums, people could argue that any of them is his best album. Thats how good they are perceived as. His album "My beautiful dark twisted fantasy" is up there with the best albums of all time. And if you let any album of his grow on you they get better each time you listen.

To answer your question, I think a lot of people would say that Kanye's first 2 or 3 albums were the best in terms of lyrics and having a deeper meaning where he addresses a lot of topics like racism, poverty, corrupt government, society issues, etc. However as time went on, it seems like Kanye's albums started to reduced in the lyrical/deep messaging category, while advancing in terms of the overall musical experience, production, and creativity. It's definitely an unfortunate tradeoff in a way, but it's hard for a lot of people to knock him given how great his musical production skills have grow. I personally miss Kanye writing songs with deeper lyrics that showed he understood the struggles that many black and people in general face. But I guess that comes with the success and becoming apart of the "elite" circle. Similar to our politicians huh LOL ... sighhhh.

I think this is a reason Kanye struggles with his mental health genuinely is because he is aware of all these things and has to reconcile who he he has become. I don’t think he’s completely sold out still, and as far as celebrities go I think he’s about as real as they come, still has moments of clarity and has good ideas but it’s entrenched in a world of consumerism, which I think he’s trying to get out of but I don’t think he knows how too, and still cares too much about his bag to really make a difference. His “falling out” with Nike was because they wouldn’t expand production of his shoes to lower prices, instead they kept them very limited and you see the resell prices go into the thousands which Kanye has no control over. Retail for his clothes has actually been more reasonable than most people assume, most his shoes sell for $200 or less, which is expensive, but not far off from buying a new shoe from Nike, or Adidas website. It’s the resellers where you see them go for the thousands. Adidas has been better about this but not perfect, I actually believe him when he says his plan the entire time was to make affordable clothing for everyone. If you contrast his approach to the fashion industry to what elon did with electric cars it’s not much different, introduce a high end, limited run, expensive model to boost brand recognition and leverage, with the eventual hopes of creating entry level models for a mass market. Can try telling Kanye these are just clothes, not electric cars, so who cares… but good luck with that lol.

Kanye West , Jay z , Nas , Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg , 50 cent , X Zibit , Fat Joe and many other mc s / rappers , they never had Eminem s musical consistency over the years . 😉 The further you go in Eminem s discography, you will realize , that over time Eminem has evolved a lot , changed a lot musically, become a very complex rapper . 😉🙈 Eminem rap has become very complex , very studied , in recent years . Some dislike Eminem music now, just because they are to ignorant, and they dot not have the capacity to comprehend Eminem s Genius , and complexity in the last years , they want that ,, goofy ,, or ,, Slim Shady ,, Eminem at 25-30 years old , but Eminem is almost 50 years old now, very complex person and rapper , he can not come out at 50 , with the subjects of an 25-30 years old man . 😉 Eminem s rap in 2022 , is not for every ear and mind, it s really math and English language sometimes . 😉🙈🔥Eminem as a mc/ rapper / artist, Eminem s music / art aged very well , in comparison with other rappers , like ,, an elitist,, wine . 😉 That s why Eminem is the greatest rapper in the Hip Hip History, period . 😉👏❤️🐐
