I look at two of Kant's essays--"An Answer to the Question, 'What is Enlightenment?'," and "What Does it Mean to Orient Oneself in Thinking?"--to talk about what it means to "think for yourself" or to "think freely." We'll look at what Kant thinks gets in our way, and what he thinks we have to do in order to really think freely.
