Kansas is back with a vengeance.
Sounds just like the Kansas Band I've been listening to since the 70's. Glad they got back to their original sound. I love it!

I was blessed with the opportunity to see Kansas in the little town I live in and went to high school in.At a short lived local fair.I believe it was 1985 or 86.Berwick Fair.Berwick,Pa.Will never forget it.Have always loved this band.Always will.
If I didn’t know this was new I would have thought someone found it in a vault of ‘70’s Kansas. I loved it!
Going to see KANSAS in Kansas City July 27th, 2023. I have been to a lot of concerts, but this is my 1st time seeing my favorite! I am 66 years young, and I will be feeling younger all night!

For my money Kansas is the best prog rock group of all time and may even be the best American rock band of all time too. I saw them a couple of years ago in Stockton California and it was the best concert I've ever seen in my life. And I've seen all the greats Zeppelin the who the stones etc... etc... No one sounds like Kansas!

From The 🇧🇷
WOW, I mean WOW! Thanks all you Kansas players and fans for continuing this amazing brand of rock! So complex and beautiful!

Saw them last night in Clearwater, FL, USA. Third or fourth time since 1977. Only two original members, but the sound was purely Kansas. The touring group was on point... The Point of Know Return. And I got up for a drink when they played Dust in The Wind, my least favorite Kansas tune.

Though only 2 original members remain, newer members bring awesome talent along with a respect for the Kansas sound.

Well it seems Kansas still has its classic sound. The echoing reminds me of Carry on Wayward Son. Wish Guns N Roses could still sound like this, I mean they have the classic rock feel, but Axl’s voice is just gone.😢
I can see reflections Drifting into space Always through a mirror Never face to face I ask another question The words disintegrate The absence of presence fills the air I know you're here but you're not really there Blinding bright projections Crash against the wall I can't get your attention No matter how loudly I call Reaching for connection To break the silent stare The absence of presence fills the air I know you're here but you're not really there Imagine we broke through The noise of our creation And found the missing pieces This moment kept alive In suspended animation And finally completed I can hear the echoes As they reverberate I turn to chase the sound again But I'm just a step too late I can still remember The way it resonates The presence of absence disappears I know you're there but you're not really here
As one of many who have been following this band for decades I am thrilled to hear & see their latest Tour De Force! Kansas does not rest, they continue to evolve & we hang on white knuckled & screaming with sheer joy! Carry on my wayward sons!
I've seen Kansas live in concert 5 times over the years, can't wait to see them play this album some day soon. Hope this Covid crap will subside and let us see them live in 2021.

“I know you’re there but you’re not really here” what I’m going through with my parents right now. I’m 23 and have lived a life full of family trauma and have been alone in the entire thing, nobody in my family is even able to see how much trauma is there or how they are living through their own every single day. I have no choice but to fully accept that this has been my life & currently is. It has been the hardest thing for me to do. I ran for so long through addictions since about age 13/14 bc I didn’t know how to handle the pain my situation caused me. But here I am 10 years later and battling it all, no longer addicted even having to move back in with my parents after having to leave a toxic relationship and having nowhere else to go. Spirit continues to guide me daily & this is the music that keeps me sane. Much love
Beautiful song ❤️ so fresh and at the same time so nostalgic
Shades of Masque, a bit of Monolith too, would slot in nicely on either album, prog/prog metal, the guitars sublime, the classic violin riffs too, organ reminiscent of Steve Walsh ( great job Tom Brislin). Fabulous

Condolences to Robby's family and friends. 💔
Kansas are the best of the best and in my top five bands.
As much as I like The Prelude Implicit, TAOP is head and shoulders above it. This album could fit in between Point and Monolith quite comfortably. I know they had more time to prep and work on this one, and it definitely shows. Zak did his homework, there's enough callbacks to the Kansas of old in these songs. Musicianship is definitely top notch. I don't don't know how Phil keeps playing at this level, given his age and the amount of punishment his body has taken playing, but he's lost nothing at all. Best thing about this one? they remembered to feature the keys, and the sound of the B3 fills out the songs. They were poised to do big things with this album last summer, going on a world tour, and with solid sales. Hope this doesn't kill the momentum they were building. Must have for a KANSAS fan.
Took our 21 year old son to see them in 2019. My wife have been big fans since 1975. We were surprised at how tight and beautiful this band still was. The music was enchanting.
Kansas lives on!
The keys and the second guitar are back in Kansas, that was important.
Wow!!!!! The old and the modern sound!! Amazing!
Yes I just saw these guys in Lancaster the other night and they Rock, They were amazing! Whenever you you consider how old they are, they played 2.5 hours and they sounded like they were in their twenties.!! What a remarkable performance. And yes their new rock is very reminiscent of the great seventies rock that they did. They're really truly still an amazing band. Hats off to Rich and Phil for recruiting dynamo's to replace the great players that they once had!!
An incredible Prog Rock track. A good mix of The Flower Kings, Rush & oddly enough The Dear Hunter. Fantastic album so far!
Definitely the most incredible video I've seen for a while👍 Kansas mature like a fine wine,it's great that we can taste this and recognise the musical flavour is 👌
