That team was by far the best team in college basketball, and I think if covid didnt ruin the tourney they would of won it all.

@@johnwesleyhuss2327, damn right! LOL at the Carolina fans for getting too cocky too early. Their cockiness lost this game for you. I said that Kansas better come out and fight in that second half. And fight they did. Once they REALLY started defending Carolina that’s when they got back in the game.

I feel like this team was better than this 2022 team. Dotson was a floor general and a scorer at the same time. Dok was a beast and could play great D. The thing that this current team needs is a Marcus Garrett type guy. One of the best defenders in KU history. Just some bad luck with Covid. They definitely would’ve had a rematch with Dayton in the championship.

You are right about that. That’s why I was crushed for these players that worked so hard to get the #1 overall seed and to have it snatched away from them is terrible. But yes this team was better than our national championship team although the national championship team was pretty good too.

Doke was a monster but he was also highly prone to injury it was nerve-racking at times

I feel so sorry for these players and all players around the country that they didn't get end their season. This year just feels so empty without the March Madness Tournament. Don't get me wrong I think it was the right choice, because health and safety needs to be everyone's number one priority, but this year needs some sort of closure to it. Not just a sorry we can't risk it and thanks for everyone's hard work and effort. We're not going to get the closure we want, in playing the tournaments, but it would be nice if there was something. The only way to get this closure is for the AP (Associate Press) to name a National Champion, as well as, give out their end of season awards. Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, etc. Not everyone is going to like that, but at least it would be something to show that the effort that these players and players around the country gave this year wasn't a waste. Which is kind of what it feels like right now.

@@derekmathews1818 Had turn channel today after watching first 10mins @ #1 Baylor, was on ESPNU. Couldn't watch cuz I know what a team/opportunity that was missed. In terms of stats? 2020 Selection Sunday, Kansas would've been the most overwhelming #1 overall seed in last 40 years of NCAA Tournament.

#3 Kansas @ #1 Baylor game fr 6 months ago is on ESPNU. Baylor started game 5-0. Then KU went on 9-0 run. I then couldn't handle it. I turned channel.,...That Jayhawks team was imo the most proficient all around Jayhawks team I've ever seen in +30 years as a fan. It suxxxxx! Doke was the best player in country imo. Not NBA terms, but as his worth to his team....Doke was best. Dotson? We were watching , (I'm gonna say it.) THE BEST PG N SELF'S tenure. If Dotson stayed all 4 years? Maybe best PG in Kansas history. Winners of 16 straight b4 Covid-19 stopped season. #1 team in country by far. I don't think there has been a such a distance fr the #1 overall seed to next #1seed in NCAA Tourney history, if NCAA Tournament would have played out.

I'd say I'm not an nba fan. Im more of a jayhawks fan

Even with Chiefs winning SBLIV. It helped But this KU team? Man. ...biggest "what if" in Jayhawks history. Finished Winners of 16 straight, just beat a LEGIT #1 Baylor team, top10 in both offense/defense efficiency.(only Self team to do so.) KU had #1SOS as well. (28-3.) Then worst part? The fact the rest country? The usual suspects (UNC, Duke, Mich St, Louisville, UK) were down seasons. Meaning if there was a 2020 NCAA Tournament? Kansas would've prob been the most overwhelming #1overall seed in last 35 years. (Sucks, Cuz I was so close on my Summer19 prediction of KU&Chiefs both winning Championships.) But no way did I want some defunct National Title. No way. Thought it was silly even talking about it. Juzt cuz KU was by far #1 team in country when season ended. But in a way? KU@Bay was the Championship. 2 best teams in country
