    I'm here because the official MLB highlights inexplicably leave out Cain's 3-run double.

    As a Mets fan that sucked by far the most. That was the nail in the coffin.

    The Mets had the lead during the 8th and 9th inning in 3 of the 4 games lost. That's a choke job.

    Lifelong Cubs fan here but this Royals squad was STACKED. There wasn't a superstar necessarily but every player knew their role and did their job. Also, shout out to Ned Yost for using Dyson's base-running ability to perfection.

    @@oldcremona luck plays a factor, they were very lucky in NLDS game 4, and ever since then, that sparked them and rode that momentum to a title, also me as a Cub fan was thankful for Zobrist

    @charlespeterson7502 I can agree they had a balance of both, the luck part was Correa's error that helped the Royals tie it up and the Good was the Royals getting hit after hit that led to it

    I can’t believe how badly this turned out, I’m watching this for the first time in 5 years, and back then I didn’t know what was happening, but it’s the 8th inning Mets up 2-0 and they blew it I don’t think I can finish the video without getting emotional, they blew it

    Royals were a def juggernaut Alex in left, Cain in center, Escobar and Zobrist in middle and Hos and Moose on the corners with Salvy behind the plate....man they were fun to watch.

    after the 6th inning the Royals out scored the Mets 18-1 that sound to me like the Royals shut down the Mets as bad as the Mets defense played the offense played worse

    As a jays fan 7 years later this still hurts… the royals bullpen was one of the best to ever do it. Herrera, Madson and Davis were insanely good, if they had the lead after 6 you knew you were done

    Forgot what a goddamn awful throw Duda made in the 9th. Ughh Mets gave away the whole series

  • @kmarasin

    @kmarasin

    2 жыл бұрын

    Lost in the angst over Duda's bad throw is the fact that Wright should've gone to 3rd to hold the runner, letting Flores (who it was hit straight to) make the play. Duda probably doesn't have to make that throw if Wright plays it correctly. Bad fielding wasn't ever just a single player issue, it was a Mets issue. Whenever they were under pressure in the field poor decisions and poor play reigned.

    Memorability is subjective. If you don’t care about the teams involved, of course it’s not going to be memorable. Thing is, there are millions of people who do care about those teams and for whom it is memorable
