@NYGForever That is true, however they were still outscored by 8 runs throughout the series which means KC dominated them after they had those small leads in each game.

Sadly watching this I really felt that The Mets should have won this world series but now that I look back on it both line-up s were pretty much even BUT The Royals had a much better bullpen than The Mets did so I think it's safe to say that The Mets bullpen woes are still there & have been a huge reason why this team continues to fall short of expectations... this year it's been the hitting with runners in scoring position but the bullpen is still suspect... slight improvements here & there but not enough to make an impact .... The Mets are still a long ways from being a playoff team...

@@hawaiianwater1913 not really. He's made some really good defensive plays. Not only at catcher but at first base too. And then there's the two who have retired now, Gordo and LoCain. Especially Gordon.

@@hawaiianwater1913 well yes but you were saying that his defense is now "atrocious" even though I have mentioned that this season he has made some really good defensive plays. And yes he is the only active Royals player from the WS team still here with us, and then Greinke was not on the team during the time we went to the World series. And that's what the original comment was about that I was replying to. But I agree that Greinke has a shot at the HOF in general not speaking about Royals players who were part of the WS team who would make it.
