Live performance of "Carry On Wayward Son" performed by Kansas in Omaha, NE in July 1982. This song is from their "Leftoverture" album.

One of the greatest live bands ever. Saw them at the Spectrum in Philadelphia in 1979. Steve Walsh had a wall of keyboards and would do handstands on them.

I saw Kansas back in the mid 70’s, Steve Walsh was the lead vocalist. He danced all over the place and his keyboards were all stacked and it looked like a wall around him. When Dust In The Wind started he came out from behind all that and had to lean against them just to stay upright. Awesome concert!

I can't believe I found this video!! I was 13 back in 1988 when on tv I saw this, and it was also the very first time I heard this song, and fell in love with it. Years later I'd see videos of Kansas with Walsh and always thought my memory was fuzzy cause I remembered him with an afro in this video. Now I realize it was Elefante all along. Boy, he sounds just like the original recording , and sounds so much better than Walsh live. Much respect to Mr. Elefante!

@awhoergek Yeah, his name is Kerry Livgren and he also wrote most of Kansas hit songs, including this one.
Can't believe it's already been 30 years ago that this video had been recorded
I had a haircut like that in the 80s. After letting it grow wild in the 70s, we didn't know what to do with it, so just cut half of it off.

Its Leo Sayer!
For me no one identifies or sings better than Steve Walsh because he was the first voice of Kansas and the energy he produced when he was performing of course he slowed down but his voice still remained.
hes got a great voice!
Невероятное звучание!!!!
It's John Elefante, he was the lead singer after Walsh left in 1981.
Once seen Mr.Elafonte pushing a baby stroller in Nash - Vile ....Frankin in particular. Mike McDonald was there as well.
❤❤A VERY GOOD STAGE DOMINE OF MR JOHN ELEPHAT❤❤ VERY GOOD SINGER ❤❤
@anton7296 No you didn't, you only missed their birth. They will never be gone, they will echo in our heads and loving hearts forever.
