this was good. really good. it’s always a nice feeling when someone says exactly what you were thinking, especially when i didn’t even search for it. clannad was probably a better show, but the ending was so stupid and unbelievable, meanwhile kanon just felt more right. now thanks to you i know why

i love clannad more because the story is so realistic (if we dont mention the parallel world and returning to the past) sometimes random decides our fate, or why you shouldn’t start a family with people in poor health everyone will learn their special lesson from this anime

Fucking excellent script mate, love the outro too, flipside felt natural, concusive and not cringe. Keep it up genius!

I love Clannad, but its ending always feels like a cop out. It strips Tomoya of all his character development, and feels like a slap in the face to the shows theme: finding the strength to go on in a world that's always changing

Kanin is sooooo amazing I Recently watched it again after like a decade, and I cried eyes out as where clannad/after story really didn’t do anything for me

@micaiahflores1592 Same here. I love Kanon but dislike Clannad/After Story. Clannad felt like an absolute chore and complete waste of time. In the end, it achieved absolutely nothing thanks to it's massive deus ex machina. Kanon didn't really have a deus ex machina, considering the events actually happened. I hate that Clannad is far more famous and popular than Kanon. If anything, it should be the other way round. Kanon is far, far more deserving of the praise than Clannad.
