The set up for this jam plotline always kills me. She's half asleep then just wakes up instantly and leaves the run as fast as possible. Fucking hilarious

AWWW!!! She's so freakin cute! Contrary to popular belief, Makoto didn't die from her magic running out, the jam significantly shortened her lifespan as a human.

This reminds me of Mio's sister from Nichijou who made a jam from fermented salt-cured fish - a jam so disgusting that eating it made Mio's life flash before her eyes... now that I think of it, it was probably a reference to Kanon

Hmm her and sanea must be really good friends, now all they need to do is mix her jam with saneas rainbow bread and maybe throw in some of her rice cake bread(it was something like that) and you've got yourself one hell of a combination

In After Story, during Yukine's arc, Nagisa brought Sanae's Hyper Rainbow Bread and "ultimate" jam which was made by Sanae's friend and combining the bread with the jam was supposed to create the ultimate bread and jam combination... and for anyone who ate it... things didn't end well

What's funny is they never actually say it tastes bad or that it'ss horrible. They only say things like "I've never tasted anything like that in my whole life!" Yep, combined with Sanae's Hyper Rainbow Bread no less. For the straglers who haven't seen Clannad, Sanae is Nagisa's mother, she doesn't have a mean bone in her body and she's so pretty that legions of otakus would go to war for her. She's also a loving mother, an excellent cook, and good with kids. But...her bread...one can only assume that she bakes it with plutonium, arsenic, or ebola mixed in, cause it can level said legions of dedicated followers. All except her husband.

If I can stomach coconut shreddings and whip cream on chocolate stuffed crust peperoni Pizza and not throw up, then I can stomach that jam to. So just to be nice and to try something new, I say give me the jam and give me it in spades. I also think Akiko would be less susceptible to criticism. Unlike a certain bread baker we know who runs faster than the wind itself.

SSBK 65 she did eat it after the first time yuichi tasted it...but it was just fine for her XD

I think that happened just before the clannad after story river fight scene. So all you need to do now is add my pyromaniac type cooking skills and you have a weapon to force the rest of the world to go on a fasting.
