Okubo is the man. He's all heart and went out like a champion. He would've beaten most of the opposition, but Agito was special.

Okubo is my favorite in this fight, even with loss. His orthodox training and being master of basics in MMA highlights great strength and goal this character has.

What I love about this fight is that Okubo is fighting a stronger version of himself. The majority of kengan fighters either have some sort of ancient fighting style, superhuman power, or fictional techniques. Okubo is just a normal human (albeit with two decades of fighting) who has mastered the basics of combat. He's a jack-of-all-trades in striking, throwing, grappling, and wrestling. If his opponent tries to outstrike him, he'll switch to grappling. If his opponent tries to grapple him, he'll switch to wrestling. It's simple yet effective that allowed him to become a heavyweight MMA champion. Unfortunately, Kanoh does that but on a better level. Kanoh is already inhumanly strong but his "fighting style" allows him to create a style to defeat his opponent. Once Kanoh let Okubo hit him with all his moves, Kanoh instantly knew the moves to out-MMA Okubo.

Well yeah people do that all the time now,social media has been a useful tool for training now not only with video breakdowns of high level fights but making connections with higher calibre training partners, the reality you have to consider is that you're going to cross paths in competition at some point too ,train with the best to become the best, but when it comes down to it give it your all in competition to show respect & honor for your friends skill & strength.

They all do that on some level, it's happy to see Cosmo and Adam Dudley be friends after what happened, sort of like a debt you get after mutually kicking each other's ass that you pay off together.

Even before you factor in the Fang's insane tactical combat sense, he's a 6'8" 280lb guy in insane shape. 99.9% of the people on this planet would fall to that alone, even if all he knew was some basic Tae Kwon Do or high school wrestling.

Agito is so awesome , no matter what his opponent is using he's gonna meet them using their own style and try to beat them , also he doesn't go for cheap shot like eyes poking or run his mouth , he's my favorite fighter of the series , if you didn't see his second fight against the thai god you should go watch it , it's incredible !!!

Even tho I knew from the start Fang would win, the moment everybody said "None of Okubo's attacks will hit now", only for Okubo' attack to hit, was rad as hell. And demonstrated that Fang ain't the kind of advancing goalpost powerfantasy like Yujiro from Baki, but rather a character with his strengths and weaknesses set in stone, who can be surpassed. As difficult as it would be in reality, beating him within the first minute of the fight would allow one to win without facing his strongest ability.

People fail to realize that the way fang ended Kaolang was because of this match but he did it differently. At the moment he throws a right at 6:51, Okubo goes low which took him off guard then proceeds to throw him. So fang really does evolve from each match.

This is my favourite anime fight of all time. I play it at least once or twice a week (on this channel of course - Sosa for life). Okubo is an absolute unit, and Agito is my favourite character in this entire series. What a MATCH! There are so many moments where the fight could have ended in that grappling sequence though. Triangle from Agito (although Okubo has his other hand in so he was likely just about okay), the Kimura from Agito would have been a snap, Okubo exposing Agito's back during the scramble would have been a choke (and of course the standing RNC Okubo locked in), etc. ...BUT the way I see it though is, these guys have anime strength. They can just power out of these things, so there's no point applying too much logic to it!

The reason why this is actually a great fight is because Okubo did fairly well and he represents a real life top level MMA fighter. So a top level MMA guy can put up a good fight at this level. One thing I don't like about Baki. He's like 16 and clowning world champions lol

Ohkubo had great technique, but Agito was smart. Agito learned while fighting. Agito used Ohkubo's technique to defeat Kaolan Wongsawat at the end of the fight. The disadvantage of Ohkubo's technique, that he used the same pattern of the technique. My english no good at all.

Spoiler between a fight with Okubo and a certain fighter in Kengan omega as well as Agito fighting a newer fighter (the sequel manga to Kengan Ashura): It’s crazy to me how Sekibiyashi beat Okubo as a promise to Koga. Felt forced but still shocking. Shows fighting can go either way. Even Agito’s second loss to the judoka was crazyyyy.

Baki is more interesting in overall perspective But this one shows better fights Baki fights are mostly predicted by fans and one side slaughter In Kengen Ashura , we seem to understand that its a fight not acting , if you beat someone , be ready to pay back
