What I prefer in Kengan over Baki is the fact that they can make the winning character look strong without making the loosing character look weak. And each character has their own strengths and weakness. We don't have shit like Midget Hanma Baki overpowering Oliva in raw strength or Baki/Yujiro oneshotting characters like Sukune/Muhammed Ali /Kehaya and co who get 15 chapters of build up.

@@kingades1013 Unfortunately I liked Waka’s durability but I did not enjoy his lack of tactics and full contact karate skills. Of course his most impressive ability is Superman syndrome, but he’s also a tactical karate fighter. If they wanted Waka to improve rather than have him train against weeping Willow which he already negated before beating the snot out of Ohma until demon bane, they should have had him work on his kicking game. Imagine 400 LBs Waka throwing a rolling Thunder kick on someone’s skull. But Waka killing the final boss through sheer tenacity is kind of cool.

I feel like the rhythm of the fight in the manga was more intense and felt like every single move from both of them would instakill, for example Julius tackle felt like a missile, still really great adapted, specially wakatsuki final pose rage

I love Baki, absolutely so. An original fan, but one of it's biggest flaws is the over explanation of everything. Kengan is more direct and visual, whereas Baki takes advantage of a higher level of dialogue. And it's not necessary bad, but I will say it takes away from it's charm to an extent.

The moment Elena said "They look like massive Kaiju monsters", I imagine them as their respective moniker (Wakatsuki's a tiger, while Julius is a goddamn gorilla)

It's not really unexpected. Waka is a cool fighter but so far it looks like he's just a heavy brawler without a proper fighting style. Agito is both a tanky brawler (although not as strong) AND an excellent tactician. Agito probably defeated Waka the same way Okubo managed to put Agito into a predicament: Agito is stronger than Okubo in every aspect, but with a smart strategy and good thinking Okubo managed to dominate over Agito for a good while. The same probably happened in Waka's fight: it wouldn't matter how much physically stronger Waka is if Agito just used a dodge-based style and avoided most of the damage

this was one match I was hella excited for because there 2 monsters brawling.

What I like about this poster in particular, is that he doesn’t splice up the clips anymore than he needs to, he doesn’t add a gajillion jump cuts to the point where it doesn’t make any sense and your getting only 40% of the whole fight.

This battle is epic! Julius really is interesting character who reminds me of Jack Hammer and Biscuit Oliva from "Baki"! I love this guy in Kengan Omeg! Wakatsuki still very bad ass because his experience, fighting style and mutation that makes him the worse enemy to fight. I like Kengan Omeg because Wakatsuki faces a beastly opponent but only won because his endurance! It interesting to watch or read characters so Overpowering and yet still get overwhelmed by unexpected enemy!

@@Sosapotence3001990 actually Julius should have lost earlier than that. Two or three low-kicks with Wakatsuki-s power would have ended his mobility totally. As well as everyone forgets that Takeshi is WAY denser so he can absorb much more damage than human muscles. Julius has great power, no doubt. But he is way less durable and absorbing heavy blows mostly because the dempfering effect from big muscles.
