idk why but Spurs wingers got better all of a sudden. Son is Son as always. Then we got lucas moura using speed and dribbling (him and Tanganga were the two most eye catching in the city game). Bergwijn seems to play with a confidence that he used to have in PSV. Gil's also a tricky winger to mark, his sudden movement is probably one of the best as well as left foot cross. Got to say, I think Spurs can go on a good run this season

If Dier and Sanchez keep playing well, I would like to see Romero as a CDM next to Hojbjerg, with Lo Celso as the playmaker. Very defensive midfield, but could prove far more dominant than the Hojbjerg, Skipp, Alli trio. Regardless, I still don't trust Dier and Sanchez. I think we need someone like Tomiyasu. Him next to Romero or Rodon would be great.

Gil is explosive, love his fierceness up on top.

Lo Celso is too good to be on the bench when healthy. His passing, playmaking, technical abilities are so good. Not to mention his contributions to hassling and hacking down the opponents.

And then Mourinho came in and as we all know, made no hiding of his displeasure over his performances in training.

@@abhrajitdhar4628 That's a tough one man. Imo, the Bobby, Salah, Mane trio worked because Bobby doesn't always wanna score. He is okay with taking the backseat at times, being unselfish and providing to Salah and Mane. Jota is great striker and does the best job out there always, but sometimes it seems that Jota,Mane, Salah trio doesn't have the same magic. Klopp generally subs Jota later to get Bobby on, and something just clicks. Probably with the crowd back on, and the morale back up, the new trio gels well. But I don't think we've got the squad depth thinking of Jota permanently replacing Bobby. They would work together.

Bergwijn will play on the right because he is proving himself. Gil getting experience in these Cup matches is more likely than a prem start. Keep in mind that he had problems with how physical pacos were and probably isn't physically built up enough for epl

Romero looking so good. First that pass at 1:12, then the interception at 5:32, the brilliant defensive work at 7:53, he was also playing as a bit of a midfielder. and gil also looking like the bright young player we need.

Good effort from the entire squad. Gil reminds me of David Silva. He always is aware of his surroundings and think before he makes a move or pass. Could be a great player in couple years.

Brilliant show of force last night, great workout for the new aquisitions, showing them what it's like playing with the big boys, the senior member of the squad. Takeaways from this match, great defending, Gollini did well, a clean sheet, Bryan Gil did wonders up front the on the right wing later in the second half, Kane was on form, Romero was a treat to watch too, but didn't Le Celso play well, Lucas, ana what a showing by Winks too, some special tackles came out if that lad last night. All in all a very good match for us. COYS.

The one thing us Spurs fans should appreciate is the fact that we are lucky to have Kane in our club. Dignified, a gentleman, and an amazing footballer. COYS!

Was unlucky that the defender didn’t give him anything because he had positioned himself so well for that chance in the first half, he looks good though, he’ll start most cup games I’m sure of it

Anyone spot that often both Gil and Kane moved to within feet of each other as the ball came towards them. Gil taking control and then passing to Kane who had hurriedly had to make yet more space. These two share the same gift for reading the play and exactly where to be at the right time. Also two of Gils blazing shots would have surely gone in except for deflections. I'm truly loving this. C.O.Y.S!!!!

Yep, pair Gil and Kane in the middle, with Son and Lucas on the wings and suddenly Spurs have a very fast, very deadly front line, just need someone in the middle to create plays.
