I to want to join indian navy as an officer and I will but I don't believe in these comments because u just see in ur unit and how many hate India and how many respect India u will get to know. Isreali soldiers are very much the same. But they don't have to face terrorists in the complex region like Himalayas so I would say Indian soldiers are the best.

This song is so powerful. It tells a story for me. Of an unassuming boy to a warrior. A story which I am the product of. My father planned on becoming a salesman initially in his life. Yet in 1999 when Pakistan attacked Kargil he joined the Indian Army as a soldier out of patriotism, against my grandmother's fears that he would die. He went to the front lines alone and young surrounded only by recruits his age, all boys barely out of university and unexpecting of the horrors of war to befall them. A rather laid-back and short boy who had never even been in a real fight, he had barely passed the physical requirements and was now shipped off thousands of miles away from his home to war in a distant corner of his country. He lost 2 of his best friends who had been beside him since primary school. As the battle to reclaim Kargil drew nearer, the story goes hazy as my dad has refused to tell me. I know he did things he didn't want to; the Pakistanis were strong and they fought like cornered animals, he explained. He said they relished violence while he despised it. The only thing that kept him ruthless was his love for the country. I will never know what it was like for him on the front lines. I can only imagine; homesick, scared and yet full of patriotism. All I know is that Kargil was eventually reclaimed and he was shot in the arm during a gunfight. It was a minor wound. He served again until 2002, when he was shot in the thigh by a Pakistani terrorist. This time the wound was unfortunately fatal for his career in the Army. The doctors tried to set his broken femur right, but the surgery was done wrong and his bones were too weak. He could never undergo the physical demands and requirements of the Army again. He was discharged as a war hero with 2 medals. I asked him once what it was like to kill a man, 3 years ago at dinner. I remember he got up and went to the bathroom. When he came out, I saw he was on the verge of tears. Safe to say, I never asked again.

Nobody can come close to Rafiji because to do that one has to understand the emotions, nuances and melodies that Rafiji puts in the songs. He outs his SOUL into it. He will remain a CLASS APART. No matter hiw ckose they come to Him there is always something lacking which we feel. Can't express in words.
