Let me share some interesting infos about this henshin item. So this item started with the form of Boost MK3 and end with Boost MK9. Most of the people probably already knew this, it's MK9 because Geats is a fox. And MK9 representing the mythical creature nine tails, the KYUUBI, and so is the reason of why the rail gun blade call QB9 as for the similar pronounce of KYU(Q)BI(B) and the 9 for nine tails. Now, why do we started with Boost MK3? Take a look on how Boost MK3 transform to MK9. First you split the Boost MK3 into two pieces, so you got two MK3 and you put them on the belt, we have 3+3 = 6 on the belt. Then you do the revolve on to enter MK9. The reason behind this is because once we turn the 6 upside down just as the belt it now becomes 9, changing 6 to 9 by turning it around. That's why we start with MK3 to get MK 9, very interesting design idea behind the belt isn't it?

When I first saw this, I thought it'd be a Magnum MKII, but this definitely didn't disappoint

Boost being a power-up makes sense in the fact that the sounds are pre-programmed into the belt

I love this buckle and I really can't wait to get the desire driver. Ryuki/Dragon Knight was my entry into Kamen rider. And Geats really caught my attention loved everything in it!!!

Regarding the Boost buckle being Geats' base form, it's even weirder when in the show they go to explain that there's always a buckle in which the Kamen Riders would 'sync up', and those buckles would be more effective for them. Buffa has the Zombie buckle, Tycoon later gets the Ninja buckle, and judging by how the buckles' color schemes match the riders' helmet color schemes, I suppose we all assumed Magnum was Geats' 'sync-up buckle', judging by the color schemes, and how often he uses it, while the Boost buckle's red-and-black never matched Geats' white-and-red. Sure, the Boost buckle matches his colors NOW, at the Mark IX version, but still.

According to some , Magnum IS Geats buckle. However, Boost syncs up with Ace entirely

The easiest explanation is that Magnum is Geats' buckle but Boosts syncs up more with Ace himself, not Ukiyo Ace but Ace, the reincarnating son of the Goddess of Creation.

We should have gotten suspicious about the "Color Match" once we had Nago Synch with the Beat Buckle. That one is anything, but not Gold like her Helmet.

I just assumed his mother would do the smart thing and give him upgraded forms of the strongest buckle, considering base boost gave a tremendous boost in stats to any rider.

Boost is a unique buckle, and using it as a power-up instead of a magnum makes it more personal. Probably there is another rider that syncs up with Magnum that doesn't have a white-black color scheme.

Mister emgo I noticed that this raise buckle is inspired by a mythical japanese creature called nine tailed fox when it's in mark 9 raise buckle form or in japanese it's gumiho

Actually gumiho is from Korea. The japanese name for the nine tailed fox is called a kitsune. Edit: My bad, sometimes I keep mixing up Kyuubi and Kitsune together and this is coming from a guy who has seen a few Kyuubi's in shows x_x

Have to agree with your assessment on how Boost is supposed to be part of Geat's base form yet he never really used it often. Geat's will probably go down as the Rider to use his base form the least out of any other Rider,.

I like to think we didn’t necessarily upgrade the magnum buckle but he does upgrade the magnum weapon itself through the laser raise riser and the Geats buster QB9. Because it’s boost that gives him an ability, magnum buckle really just gives him some basic armor and a main weapon.

Laser boost with similar to Magnum boost. The only time magnum kind of had an upgrade was with fever magnum. But we also got fever boost miraculously, fever ninja, fever zombie, fever beat and fever monster

I love mark 9’s form it’s so simple in design and it works so well

Magnum was forgotten. The only (kind of an) upgrade was the laser raise riser? I mean, it's a gun and compatible with the desire driver and boost MKII... But that's pretty much it-

To be fair, magnum just gives him basic armor and his main weapon while boost gives him abilities. So I think while the boost buckle gets upgrades, it’s the magnum 40X that gets upgraded through the laser raise riser and the Geats buster QB9.

Another show I watch pointed this out, you have a boost mk3 on one side. Take off the top to have a boost mk3 on the right. That's 6 boosts! And when you rotate a 6, you get a 9. :P Is it relevant? Probably not. Just a funny little thing that got pointed out.

thinking about it Boost being Geats base form kinda makes sense. 1st episode when we see him he was holding the Boost Buckle and if you look at his actions always prefered it even tricking Tycoon into giving it to him once. Geats and Tycoon are also supposed to be sort of like opposites too right? And what colors are Boost and Ninja? Red and Green, colors that are opposites on a color wheel.

There is, look for a small circle-like trigger near the pin reader of Desire Driver, that circle will pop out when the driver revolved, the Buckle simply have a button in that position to trigger the open when revolved
