John, I did this over the weekend and it turned out amazing. We can honestly say it was one of the best sandwiches we've ever had. It's a keeper we can't wait to share with guests. Thanks!

Did this with a double ipa minus the cheese fucking delish. Add juicy pepperchini on top. Impressed the in-laws.

looks great, John. I'll be doing something similar next weekend. BTW, pepperoncini is pronounced "pepper on chee nee".

Awesome recipe. Made it tonight. Used red peppers instead of green peppers. Delicious!

Going to cook this up for a party we are having on Sunday. Going to double the amounts so cooking time will increase a bit. Thinking 2-21/2 smoking then 6 covered in the Dutch oven. Looks outstanding!

Well I gave this pulled beef for sandwiches a try. It gets a 5 start rating. I could not believe what a wonderful taste the beef has plus how tender the meat is.

I've got one of these in progress as I am typing this. Just added the beer (using Kilkenny) but using Piquillo instead of Pepperoncini - looking forward to cracking the lid in 5 hours or so :)

Looks killer, John. Reaction shot tells a story. It would probably be good with any number of cheeses, too.

I am going to try this! I do have a question for you, why do you use the accessory rack for the dutch oven? does it give you more clearance for a bigger dutch oven? I usually just put mine on the grill grates.

oh my, that looks heavenly. however, a couple questions... first? why didn't you remove the stems from the pepperoncini? do the stems just get really soft after the long cook in the dutch oven? any recommendations on how i can squeeze all that awesome-ness into a Joe Jr? and, I may be off base completely, but I think it is pronounced "pepper-chee-nee". you rock sir, have a great weekend!

Can I use Eye of Round for this same recipe? Or, maybe some of your dutch oven stew? Got a couple 3lbs Eye of Round roasts on sale.

John-My chuck roast is mostly frozen. Could I do it on a higher heat or just cook it longer?

Looks good! I would have yanked them pepper stems prior to dumping them into the pot.
