He is a phenomenal player. He doesn’t only protect the defence, he manages to protect , intercept and set up an attack in 2/3 touches sometimes. Just reads the attacking passes and acts on his judgement like he’s a 35 year old Midfield Veteren. Seriously he’s INSANE. I rated him last season but that England performance the other day, I’m still speechless tbh. But seeing this explains a lot, he’s a real lad and he loves football. Simple. Take a bow tho.

I remember going past that pitch every day when I went to college in leeds, my first championship game was at elland road which was nuts to me after growing up in exeter. Phillips was just the heart of that team and I can remember leeds buzzing constantly those two years I was there

My husband has been a Leeds supporter for years although we are Londoners but I have watched Leeds games and the documentaries on Prime tv etc last couple years and the team manager and players are brilliant examples of what role models should be Bielsa has made a team worthy of every neutral fans respect. The players are not falling out of night clubs drunk or on the front of tabloid papers. Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford for example are brilliant players and really nice people. The reason England are doing so well they have a squad of players not prima Donna's in my opinion 🙂👍

Fantastic player. I'm a Wolves fan but my Uncle and cousin are Leeds fans. Brilliant performance by him for England the other day and seems a top bloke.

great piece. I remember watching Ian Wright play against Leeds at Elland Road, he was at the peak of his powers at the time and you could feel the tension in the crowd every time he touched the ball, aspecting him to score. What a legend. Kalvin will become as much of a legend as Ian Wright, if not more so.
