@@garoemarichal9391 No, it is NOT better to maintain it like it is! I want to see how the driver is driving the car on the limit. I want to see the different driving styles. And I dont want to watch onboards that only shows the road. And because of that I will not watch Monza Rallye on WRC+. All the best for Kalle and Elfyn for Rallye Monza.

I’m no rally driver but to me it seems you are a very very good driver: no time lost sliding the tyres on the “slow” corners, very accurate on te fast ones and very much in control of the car. I hope they would broadcast wrc on television. We are missing so much

Great "feel of the steering wheel"! Super technical, fine, neither too much nor too little. No waste of time with exaggerated drifts when exiting a turn, exits "in line" ... You have perhaps the most beautiful driving technique which must be super efficient on snow in particular. In the dry, you have to be a little more "crazy": brake very late as on a circuit without compromising the speed when exiting a turn etc. You can win the Artic Rallye.

Crazy thing is that Kalle just have hes 20th B-day and hes alrdy driving this good and hes #5 in Drivers points atm! 👍 Normally this young Rally drivers r driving max WRC 2 class and they does pretty much mistakes..Ofc Kalle sometimes Crash n spins but so does every drivers in WRC sometimes and imo hes the Best WRC Driver ever in the age of 20 only 👍🇫🇮 Keep up the Good Work Kalle Rovanperä cos ur the biggest hope to bring WRC World Champion title back in Finland 👍💪👊🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮

You can all ways tell the difference between a professional and amauter driver by the way they hold the steering wheel. A professional will always have their hands on 9 and 3 as it gives the most control over corrections and will never remove unless it is physically impossible to get around the corner without it.

Oh I wouldve said you can see the difference between a pro and amateur driver by the way they go at 140km/h in a corner sideways on a narrow dirt road but yea holding the steering weel on a 9/3 position works too

It's same paddle for both. Pull for upshift and push for downshift :)

@@SA6306 I think it was mandated by the regulations. For this year, they have to use the stick instead of paddle.

do new rally cars no longer use gear shifter? he is using a paddle shifter to his right it seems where logically he would only upshift. does it downshift automatically or how does this work. haven't ever really followed WRC so im a noob here

@@ozone1894 that’s alright mate, it’s very similar to the shifter used now, it’s sequential so there’s no need for the clutch when changing gear. The clutch is normally used on the start line and only ever used in stage on very tight hairpins to avoid stalling, besides that the sequential box essentially uses the clutch for you

Proper usage of the handbrake here, only to rotate the car, not to initiate huge useless slides (on tarmac) .

Didn't know rally abandoned sequential manuals. Sad.

The car is not shifting itself, he is shifting with a paddle on the right side. That paddle does both upshifts and downshifts.

@@jamesshives5679 It's an automatic with paddles. Rally cars used to be sequential manuals and utilize clutches. The stick on the right is his handbrake.

@@ickerolig They still have a clutch but they only use it to start. And yes that stick is the handbrake but they still have a manual sequential as the car does not shift itself; all they did was change the shifter from a stick to a paddle on the right side of the steering column.
