There's so much hate for Russia, but I see a people that have endured some very tough times throughout history and through the worst of it, have still managed to maintain such a strong culture and tradition. This performance was a brief and brilliant glimpse into the beauty of the Russian soul. There's really not enough superlatives to describe it. I cannot agree more. I must have a lot of Slavic blood in me; I love Russian culture and how they as a people have sustained their identity. God bless the people and the country for which they display their pride and loyalty. I am an American who loves both countries and longs for the day we share the same feelings. I'm a crusty old Earth mover from Australia and I got a little teary, just beautiful. Respect to Russia.

In general: I do not like folkdancing; but this is something else! --costumes and presentation,fantastic! Choreography: excellent! I suppose the girls are daughters of the dancers: they must be so proud on each other! This is part of a great culture and tradition; should be preserved for ever!

This is a Loktev ensemble presentation, i.e., they are all children since participants must be school students ages 6-18. The older girls are high school age, probably seniors, 17 years old. The younger ones are elementary school students, probably 6-7 years old. It is possible that some of the older/younger girls are sisters but probably not many. BTW, the orchestra and the chorus are also children. The Loktev ensemble is an after school program in Moscow, they usually meet for classes in dance, music, and song four times a week.

Nice and lovely representation.

It’s very possible the people of Russia have suffered more terribly than those of any other country in existence. I believe there is a strong link between your history and your steadfast love of beautiful music and dance. Please don’t ever allow what my country has done to itself happen to yours. I’m just an old American vet (Vietnam and Iraq) who wanted to say a few words.

How beautiful! It is wonderful that the young people are still interested in keeping up with their heritage, culture and tradional ways. 💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕

Kalinka has to be one of the best songs, not just in Russia but in the world! The performance of those young women was just fantastic and when the little girls joined them, it literally blew me away! Such grace, such class, rarely seen in America

Вот и я о том. У нас в час пик только показывают грязное белье всяких "звезд" или разборки алкашей и проституток и за гос. деньги опредяляют днк и устанавливают отцовство. Вместо того чтобы показывать настоящее богатсво уникальную культру народов России.

Ah, Kalinka, a Slavic classic standard...if you have never travelled in Russia, Ukraine, etc...you have no idea how much more cultured Russian speaking countries are than USA. Music, dance, poetry, orchestra, ballet, and prose are taught from very young ages to the citizens. This dance is just a small example of how deep their culture is. I will always love Russia for who she is. My russian wife is buried outside of Moscba. One of the richest and deepest memories will always be there.

Usa has been degenerated since people lost it s culture/values 😔 theres a different mentality in america wich is prety bad if you ask me, i encourage all americans to go experience the world and see how it is outside of there because life is totally different than what you think. And yes, i was shocked to see that in america women do their best to almost walk naked in public and then proceeds to complain about "inequality" and catcalling about their looks.
