Actually once the linux is up you'll have to play with the grub file ,it's difficult to explain here but it will make it permanent ,else last option is reinstall kali

After too much digging i gotta solution. First you have to follow the steps shown in the video. When you get into the desktop environment, open terminal and grant the root permission and run the following command as follows: 1. mount -t efivarfs efivarfs /sys/firmware/efi/efivars 2. rm /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/dump-* 3. update-grub 4. grub-install -v --target=x86_64-efi --recheck /dev/sda1 Note:- you can replace sda according to your drive name. In my case it was nvme0n1p1. It might differ from pc to pc. This step worked for me. Thanks #TechBoi for this video.

Thanks! It worked! I had Windows 10 along with other 3 Linux distributions. I tried to delete one of them.. Afterwards GRUB complained that it does not know what to load. It was tough to figure out which partition to GRUB since I had multiple ext* formatted partitions.. In the end it worked out! Now I can boot/access to my other, lost distribution!

Kali linix portable live usb bootable 2023.2 is not working properly my pc spec: core i5 10th gen, 16gb ram, gtx nvidia 1650ti 4gb graphics card, bios uefi ez mode asus, secure mode disable, fast boot disable, not legacy mode found in ez bios uefi advance utility mode, Problem: boot successful but after some time stucks the screen, distorted dots and line shown on screen, hang, loop login Procedure follow: using rufus, 32gb SanDisk Pendive, fat32, filesystem Gpt, partition 20gb, flased successful without any problem. Try solution: try everything, reinstall 10 time using balenaetcher and rufus, wasted 3 days , graphics driver nvidia update to latest in kali linux portable fix, set nomodeset fix , gdm3 gnome fix, grub reinstall latest, but nothing works. This portable kali linix not working in my asus tuf f15 fx566li laptop and working in other laptop with lower end spec laptop thinkpad or etc. Now losse my all hope😢

Did you find all the files correctly as shown in the video? If yes try hitting ( Ctrl + Alt with F3) ,check if you get a tty screen .If you get one, login and type " sudo service lightdm restart " and then type "exit"

Try changing the partitions ,select partition in which you'll find the files

Dude thank you ot worked. But you hve to now something. Sometimes when you have secure boot active when you select on the first step the image it says invalid signature. So disable it first and then start the whole process

i did everything , kali Linux dual boot with windows 10 i get grub screen then i select kali linux then some code run and kali logo appear then again some sort of code appear and kali logo come again and my laptop turn of😭 i did everything to fix this please help me out sometimes it work file out of 10 it work 2 times when i enter kali system. i created 3 partition during installation / /home swap

@@techboi1237 this is my actual error *error: file '/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found.* *grub rescue>* in short it's related to grub rescue....i tried to reinstall Kali linux...then cleared the partition....after installing 50%.....that grub rescue window opened.....now whenever i boot it shows that error

Is it displaying any error? If it's displaying any error then you're typing the command wrong. Try only ls .
