Kali audio LP-UNF is a compact speakers set up with great sound quality, crazy 3d image and decent bass for how small they are. I really love listening and working on these monitors! Comment what you think down below and ill respond.

@@ju1ceaudio Yeah, I was considering their LP-6 V2 line of monitors, but these seem to take the best from those and re-direct them into this dope package of a set of monitors, and again, for my untreated space and its size, will be super clutch.

Thank you sir, not so close they sound pretty good too. But the closer the better.
Might get these for my digital cabinet piano, just stick them on top, won’t use stands as they are exactly ear height I would imagine, space isn’t a concern that much so I could get lp6 or in5 but these lp unf are basically the same as lp6 I believe. What would you suggest for my circumstances may I ask, great video btw.

Thanks for the video! I'm considering getting these to replace some very old m audio studiophile dx4s. Desk space is at a premium the m audios barely fit and the kalis are a little larger but I think I can cram them on there. I am going to be using them with a presonos eris sub 8. Do you think this will work well? Going to be using to listen to music at desk (kind of an audiophile here) as well as some light mixing.

Great video! I just ordered these speakers and I've got a question about the USB connectivity. My PC does not have any USB-C ports, so would it be possible to connect these speakers with a USB-C to USB-A cable? And would this have any (negative) side-effects? Thanks!

@@llee9928 I have an iPhone, but I do have multiple USB cables. What I was wondering, though, is if it's possible to connect these speakers to a USB-A port on a PC or if it's necessary to connect them to a USB-C port. Luckily the manufacturer got back to me and they told me that it should work just fine, without any negative side-effects :)

@@llee9928 I've been using these speakers for a little over a week now. I use them in conjunction with the Sonarworks SoundID room correction software. I highly recommend these speakers, especially for the price! The only two things I'd recommend is buying some stands that at least somewhat isolate them from your desk since they seem to transfer quite a lot, as well as buying the longer interconnect cable if u want to cleanly route that cable. The cable that comes with it is just way too short and only long enough to perfectly reach the other speaker without much to spare. Cheers!

How much clearance does that tethered cable need between the back of the monitor and a wall? I wish they would have right angled the cable so it could be flush, it looks like it pokes out straight out of the back about 3"

@@ju1ceaudio I bet that would be sick. Present Day Production made a video on the LP-8 where they tamed the resonances and commented on the improvement. @@ju1ceaudio 💯Definitely would watch!
Use the condenser microphone you are talking in to measure and adjust the frequency response. This would annihilate struggling with sound quality almost completely, and level up your mixes.
@ju1ceaudio
3 ай бұрын
actually that would destroy my mixes lol I think you are referring to a measurement mic! yeah I have one and thought about using sonarworks but I tried to review these monitors as they are and try them in a bunch of different rooms to hear there sound.
@sergivaschenko
3 ай бұрын
@@ju1ceaudio Thank you for the review, that is the right way to do it. But the sound depends very heavily on speakers placement and surrounding surfaces, so no one can predict how the speaker would sound in the next installation. Especially if it's a budget speaker targeted for newbies (who knows, where they throw them). On the other hand, you can get microphone frequency response from the datasheet (or the Internet) and that curve is NOT dependent on the variables mentioned above (except for relatively small sample deviation). And having this tool now you can magically turn almost any speaker (having enough power and modest quality) into perfectly sounding monitors at the listening position. Once created the filter could be used with the Equalizer APO or plugin in you DAW. The room treatment does help to reduce amount of correction, but never makes a perfect result (though you should make aprox half of investments to the room treatment, but newbies doesn't do it). So you have either bad sound with any good speakers, or good sound with measurement microphone and modest powerful speakers.

unfortunate how odd that hourglass look is. seems such a random frivolous idea. sad. if kali made stuff that was not so plasticy, like bamboo, their stuff could sell for double the cost. or ascend acoustics should make studio monitors, as they do use bamboo.
