    Must say I didn’t realise how hard farming is until I saw CF. The government love making things difficult for our crucial industries. Clarkson has done so much for farming but the woke left can’t see past a few tongue in cheek comments.

    He's honest about the fact that his Amazon prime money is keeping his head above water and well aware of the fact the other farmers are struggling. The part about the tbc caused by the badgers broke my heart. He was grinding his teeth about the posibility that his farm would get locked down if any of his cows got it, and his neighbour lost 60 cows to it. Meanwhile, they can do NOTHING about it. They come up with a solution to start a locally produced restaurant, using JC's clout to draw customers and the village council does everything in their power to put a stop to it out of sheer spite. Its infuriating!

  • @ruud9761

    @ruud9761

    To be fair, I think most farmers (like you) are doing a much better job at it though. That he is struggling says as much as when you put him into any difficult job without any proper knowledge. Still, it's nice to see that he honestly seems to try his best and it's never bad to educate watchers when you can. I just hope this also inspires farmers to do the reverse and look beyond their farm and farming in general. Because the amount of farmers that are shouting about people not knowing where their food comes from sounds mildly hypocrite when I know (from experience) that a decent amount (not all of them) of farmers are as naive about the world as city people are about their foods' origin. When you own a farm you are a business owner, with all the risks, rewards, and responsibilities that come with it. I feel like people, both farmers and non-farmers, seem to overlook that rather often. Either way good luck to you and all the farmers out there.

    Although I applaud your Eco-effords, Jermey. The decision about the bee's was the wrong one. Although they do have problems, they are still omnipresent and a direct competitor to local species which are often on the brink of extinction. Honey bee's work well on crops, but not on local flaura.

    I did find it amusing when woke people started claiming Clarkson has been cancelled. One of Britain's best loved and most followed presenters with a international following even Presidents would be envious of. A multi millionaire with 4 homes , and a 1000 acre farm , as well as a recent Amazon contract securing him $30million. If that is cancelling then please cancel me as well.

  • @Yvolve

    He was though. He'll be leaving Amazon in 2024. There will a third season of Clarkson's Farm and the Grand Tour obligations, but the contract has been cancelled because of the Meghan Markle comments he made.

    @@justsomeguy1141 Apparently, it isn't killing it, at least according to Amazon. It rates 30 or 40% lower than regular shows in the US and he isn't doing very well outside of the UK. After I read the comment I looked into it again and found an article with quotes from a high level Amazon employee (apparently) who said they wanted to ditch him before the column. He is too expensive for them and doesn't make his money back. The budget for his shows are also way too big they said. Supposedly, this has already been finalised, so there is no going back. Again, this is what I could find. This is either Amazon doing damage control or he really isn't doing too well outside of the UK. I find this hard to believe as much of the world knows him and watches his shows. The Grand Tour makes a killing. James May in [anywhere would be funny] is doing really well for them, so with The Grand Tour gone as Clarkson would be gone, some other service might buy them all out of their current contracts. Either way, if they cancel it, I hope some other streaming service picks up Clarkson's Farm because it is some of the best tv ever made.

    I am reminded of Ross appearing on Top Gear, in a leather jacket... some fungus-growth on his face, and Mexican wrestling mask in his pocket to shame Clarkson for the outrage of the day... and Ross looks more American than Clarkson ever has even as a GT spoof, is Ross going for the Tucker Carlson look? Also Kaleb would likely bury Ross in one of his fields.
