Relationships and marriage gets a LOT harder when you are years in. It is very easy to plan for how you will handle issues and how you know it won't always be the honeymoon stage, but it is an entirely different thing to live it. It can be gut wrenching to see your relationship that you love and cherish be tried and go through a level of darkness you never imagined could exist in your covenant. I used to believe we were so equipped to face the low lows and I cannot tell you how many times I got to a place of having to look at myself in the mirror and beg to God to change my heart and touch my husband. Stay close to God because truly that is one of the only ways to make it. You don't want to just stay married, you want to be in a healthy, loving, respectful marriage, especially when kids come in and change EVERYTHING.

I always look forward to these podcasts with Kaleb and Jeanine! Y’all are so funny and speak truth!

what else should we talk about with Kaleb?

i’ve been married 25 years and still get butterflies. things go up and down but there are many many honeymoon phases along the way. and then challenges and life. but the good stuff and excitement always comes back if you have a true love. There will be lots of Monday in times and lots of really hard times but then the butterflies and the honeymoon moments have totally come back ups and downs and so worth it to stay with it it’s the best.

I know I’m not perfect by any means but I try to be careful with the imagine I maintain especially being someone who is open about faith on social media & in different churches.
