Tirich Kaal
Meaning, the reverse kick, is one of the most challenging and an advanced basic kick in kalaripayattu.
Scope : It prepares and conditions the body in an advanced manner during the combat.
Method : kick high in the front and then immediately at the back at the same time and all at the fastest pace with the maximum force.
Benefits of practicing this kick :
● flexibility throughout the leg
● strong core
● steadfast balance in the body
● agility and power generating movement.

Sir, using which part of the non kicking feet (heel or ball of foot) should we turn while chaging from front to back and finally to normal position? Also, in 'karakki adichh' or spinning front kick in 'ottachhuvadu 1', which part of foot should be used while turning for the non kicking leg?
