Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi & Variegata 'Lavender Scallops' Care & Propagation
Ойын-сауық
Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi & fedtschenkoi variegata, also known Lavender Scallops, is not just a pretty succulent. It’s also incredibly hardy and fast growing.
In some parts of the world, fedtschenkoi has become naturalized when it escaped cultivation and is considered an environmental weed. Do check your local weed register before planting.
Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi and its variegated cousin are fantastic beginner succulents that can be grown in frost free gardens and pots. They are great outdoor plants but not suitable to be grown indoors for long periods.
As the stalks touch the ground, they send down roots allowing for almost never ending spread, as along as there’s enough good soil.
Kalanchoe fedschenkoi is very easy to propagate and will easily grow from leaves and cuttings.
But, while this succulent plants is hardy, easy to propagate and lovely to look at, it is also quite toxic to animals and can cause mild poisoning to humans. It’s best to not grow this plant if you have plant-curious animals or kids.

Thank you 💕
Mine has brown twigs with pink tips. I’m in USA zone 7, it’s fall here and just brought my pot indoors to keep from cold temperatures. Can I clip off brown twigs or leave them?

If the brown twigs are growing straight up, they are spent flower stalks- you can definitely cut them off if they are completely dead🙂
