Nothing llike Paddling Sports version of a "FLASH MOB" .. last minute get TEAM together at pre-determined time & place ... except this "Flash" last for more than 2 hours of suffering LOL ! .. you get beat up by younger guys and they splash salt water in your eyes etc. - that's our definition of FUN !
Our race is dedicated to the family of Patty EAMES and Ka'awa family. A few days ago .. Paddling Legend Patty Eames succumbed to a long battle with Cancer .. her loss is immeasurable to EVERYONE in Hawaii paddling .. a wonder woman every way .. and when I was Novice paddler 20 years I admired what she could do and with such friendliness and warmth .. and she always was willing to share her knowledge even if you're a novice paddler asking "dumb" questions .. and partly that's why I do what I do from the example of top mentors like her DO ! - Words will not suffice to express how Jessie Eames & family must feel
