@@SandersCat_yo actually I heard somewhere that the cat is shuuya kano. idk if its canon but it seems believable knowing that: in the novels Kano has taken the appearance of a cat, and notice the cat's red eyes here. also we know that in one of the routes he was being forced to work for clearing eyes. and clearing eyes needs all of the snakes to be passed on to a human so that they can die and end up with mary so she can rewind time. so theres my conspiracy theory about the cat and how everything is clearing eyes' master scheme. but anyways, kano does have a concept of red lights and trucks so shame on him (if he actually is the cat)

See, this is where i don’t understand people’s criticisms of Shaft’s animation. I think it works beautifully during this sequence. And I actually like the whole show, although I started with the anime and then branched out to the other mediums, so maybe I’m just unique

@@melotiik I'm aware. Mekaku City Actors is the anime adaptation of the Kagerou Project, a series of vocaloid songs by Jin. This song is called Kagerou Days, and has it's own video that is much better made in a story telling standpoint. I really reccomend watching it :D

@@lostinacatsmouth8389 the anime isnt exactly an adaptation. it is more of a sequel. As far as I know, the timeline in the anime is the final one in the kagerou project. it is basically the happy ending.

if you're still wondering. it's about this boy (hibiya) and a girl (hiyori) who are stuck in a time loop. hibiya watches hiyori die for 10 ten years, and then one day he decides to save hiyori and instead die, time loops once again, and hiyori says "i failed gain" which hints towards the fact that they were both in the time loop trying to keep the other person alive.

I started watching this at 13, in 2019 it was nearly the pandemic, or we were getting signs on the news of it, and honestly I was exhausted after school and fell asleep while watching a few times, which could contribute to my lack understanding of the story but my god this anime was a fever dream. I still have no idea what the story was about, I'd love to rewatch this though. As well as get into other parts of the story/media that could help me learn more. It's got such a nostalgic feel to it. It's honestly nuts how fast time goes by as well.. Felt like the pandemic was 3 years ago but woah it's been awhile

Yeah the boy wakes up each morning in a loop after the first time the girl is killed. Each time he tries to change the "route" she still ends up dying one way or another. He does this for ten years until he finally realizes what he can do to break the loop. By killing himself and saving her once in for all. What he does not know is that she was going through a longer loop and trying to save him too all those times she died instead of him.

@H its not only about this song, theres multiple stories for characters within the entire series, they're all basically about a character's lover/friend/family dying and them experiencing the "kagerou daze" world.

It must suck seeing your closest friend die ij creative set horribly gruesome ways. And the animation is just fantastic. I feel bad for ignoring this video for as long as I did. I just thought it was gonna be a cover but I was wrong.
