When I heard that he had banned skin lightening I knew that this was a serious guy who was going to make great changes in Africa. He’s basically saying if you want to be Rwandan (an Africa) you’re not allowed to hate your own skin. I love it because he understands that real freedom, real equality, real pride is not found outside but starts in the mind, you cannot try and change yourself and love/accept yourself at the same time. Growth starts with love and acceptance.

@@mbotela9979 No I don’t think it’s freedom at all in this area neither do I think freedom is necessary in every situation. There is no redeeming factor for skin lightening so how can a good leader justify accepting it. And he is clearly saying no white supremacy will be tolerated in Rwanda. If you want that then by all means go to another country, but these are the standards to be kept in Rwanda. Respect it.

That’s literally like saying there’s no point in telling your children not to run in the road because they’re gonna run in the road anyway... 🙄 You Say it to warm them of danger, you say it so they know that they don’t have your backing you say it to make a difference. you cannot control people but you can remove your contribution to it. And I believe that is a part of why hhe ban skin lightening, otherwise everything that could cause any type of harm would be disallowed in Rwanda and that’s clearly not the case.

I am European and I know this man speaks the truth. It is time Europe accepts it made mistakes (do not compare building roads and railways as worth the killing!!) and started seeing Africans as their brother and sister humans. Europe will not always remain the writer of history, in fact they are loosing their grip. Once Africa's time comes to tell history, they will not give a nice historical view of Europe and its atrocities. Europe can remain great even in the future after the collapse of the west, by admitting their mistakes and treating their former colonies the way they treat their native peoples.

A lot of African leaders have spoken/speak the true. Westerners do not care as long they get what they want at the price they want. This is why they allow most african leaders to say whatever they want to say as long as they comply with the rules set by them. Facts are that the people who put Kagame into power are Toni Blair former U.K. Prime Minister, who’s by the way one of Kagame’s adviser, and Bill Clinton former U.S. President. And last time I checked, whatever they do is NEVER in the interests of Africans.

Nope buhari is far ahead of Kagame. Matter of fact Nigeria is listed as a developing nation while Rwanda is listed as an undeveloped nation. Other projects such as homes, buildings, hospitals, roads, dams, powerplants, and rails are being completed every year. Nigeria will be in the top 10 largest economies come 2050-60. Nigeria has one of the fastest growing middle classes in the developing world. GOD BLESS NIGERIA home to the richest and most influential Black Man Aliko Dagote, and the most Independent, Wealthy, Progressive, Industrious, and cultured Black People in the world. Nigeria's Rich are 99% Black unlike the other African countries who's wealthy are primarily White Colonist and Asian immigrants. All Nigerian businesses are native owned and expansive all over Africa.

@@Caker9 The Chinese adopt a different policy than that of the violent type European colonists rely on. Their power is soft and yet powerful. Beijing gets you by lending money (any amount), technology and security. They don't need unnecessary bloodshed.

Europe don't work for our interests. If Europe was to work with Africa, that could have been done long time. It better to get rid off that false hope.
