@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I've really been digging it. First scooter and I've put about 75km on it, putting around the Willamette River in Portland. Solidly built piece of machinery, but...the horn wasn't functional out of the box, and two or three times there was a numerical "error" code where it powered up but would not accelerate. But I love it.

Thank you your great reviews, most professional and with very good comparissions with different actual models! There you compared Mantis 8 mini 18ah, but not Mantis 8 Pro model, which is much powefull. I think there will be some really differences, but as you comparing it with Wide wheel pro little different, must be compared Mantis 8 pro for such specifications, than will be equal comparission. But as i understand you dont't have this Mantis 8 model. Anyway thank you very much for your efforts and very great videos!! When you will have Mantis pro please do comparission of speeds and etc with Mantis 8 not pro. Best regards from Lithuania.

Think I'm going to go with the horizon as my first scooter. Once I'm ready to upgrade I'll probably do a mantis or pro

I’ve owned the mantis 8 for a couple of months now and I love it. Only issue I had out the box was the screen on the throttle. Soon as I turned it on, it was glitching. I emailed kaabo with a video and they sent me a new one. Other than that I have no issues. I’m a 150 pounds. I would like for the suspension to be a bit more soft. I have the vsett 8 and I feel like it out performs in the suspension. But that’s just me. Other than that I love it. Definitely looking into the mantis 10. Also I’m not folding it. That is my other complaint. I just carry it with the stem up. To much going on to fold it compared to my other scooters.

I agree with Tina on the colour. I'm looking for colour in my next scooter, which is why the Orange eMove Cruiser caught my eye. Especially when scooters are popping up everywhere, I'd like to stand out a little. Great stuff guys, the Mantis 8 is not for me because range is quickly becoming king. The Mantis needs to eMove aside. 🤭

Thanks so much True North! To answer your question -- about we refer to it as "manti" -- it is actually the plural form of Mantis as @HDmusic pointed out. We asked Julian if our community could determine the "official" form of the plural and he agreed. Hello everyone! Another great video. Looks like this is a solid scooter and would be nice to own. However, I purchased fluid freerides Horizon this year and the specs are still good enough to hold on to it. Plus paid at total only 650 for mine under preorder! So I was wondering will Mantis 8 be enough to pull other buys who already have similar specs on their current rides?

Could you do a video on the best (or available) scooters for very tall persons and those that might weigh more? I'm 6'5" and weigh 206 lbs. With a full backpack, it could be up to 230 lbs or more. Most scooters aren't tall enough (handles) and aren't rated for heavier riders. It's hard to find a comparisons list for those scooters. Thanks.

I've been watching videos about the widewheel for a while, but now that i know about mantis 8 single motor is almost the same price, i think I'm going with this one, i prefer more range than speed, more features like turning lights are just better for me

@@snuno8990 definitely a mantis. The widewheel is so bumpy and on wet roads u end up sliding around and turning sucks.

Is this better than the Wide Wheel Pro? I'm currently looking on both but still not decided on which one.

So I bought this from fluidride and on the website it stated 28+mph and your review says 25mph? A few weeks ago I almost bought a wide wheel pro but it took so long to ship so I cancelled the order. When I saw this going more than 25, I figure this is better for more speed but its the same speed? Fluidride falsely advertising the Mantis 8? Its arriving tomorrow too so....

Just ordered a mantis 8 as my first escooter.

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I also hear that the new gen 2 motor that's marketed in the LP are installed on new G30 scooters, with the serial number on the back wheel indicating which generation it is (Source: "Ginger on wheels"' review). I'd be interested to see how difference in weight and size feels on the LP,.

what is the difference between fluid free rides mantis 8 and kaabo USA's?

That's a good question. I'm not familiar with Kaabo USA at all. I just had a look at the specs and they're pretty different. The Kaabo USA Mantis 8 has two 500 W motors, where the Fluidfreeride Mantis 8 has one 800W motor. They weigh the same though, because the Fluid scooter has a 40% larger battery (18.2ah vs 13 ah). So I expect that the Fluid Mantis 8 has much longer range, while the USA one will have a bit more acceleration. The handling of the single motor scooter from Fluid is also really really good because of the lighter front wheel. We have a Mantis 8 Pro, here from Fluid, which is an absolute beast on acceleration, but the handling of the single motor version is noticeably better. -Paul

I don't know if it's the 2021-2022 refresh (or maybe the seller I bought it from did it, it's Eevee from Vancouver Canada) but mine is IPX5 and I bought it this week for cheaper than the apollo city pro (and same price as apollo city 2022).

@@redouanemouffok115 Eevee is great, tbh they respond to questions very fast same with kaabo. I did about 150km and it's been great, 1 thing that happened is that he front wheel break handle snapped when I had to brake quick at 45km/h, so I'm sending it back to eevee for repair but otherwise no issues.

The Kaabo Mantis 8 I ordered direct from Kaabo for 999USD has two 500W motors and the 8 Pro has two 1000W motors I believe.

I noticed on your video that the 8 is 60v 18.2ah, 8pro 48v 4.5 ah? This has gotta be a mistake.

Good call out. The 60V came from specs on the Fluidfreeride site, but we should have noticed that it conflicts with the motor being listed as 48V on the same page. Both are 48V. The pro is missing a digit. Should have been 24.5ah not 4.5ah. This one is 100% on me. We changed the format of our reviews and it caused the text from these charts to sneak by me. -Paul from ESG
