Feni is an alcoholic drink produced by distilling cashew apple wine. For making cashew apple wine, they pick cashew apples from cashew farms and extract juice by stomping ripe cashew apples (after removing cashew nuts). This juice will be collected in mud pots which are immersed in soil and let ferment for 3 days. After 3rd day, the wine will be collected and distilled twice. They also make cashew urrak. If the cashew apple wine is single distilled, it is urrack, and if it is double distilled, it is feni.
There are distillation plants that do commercial production of feni, but this one is a traditional feni distillation plant where we get a chance to taste feni and experience the making process.
