I have the polymer handle version of this knife Same 1095 steel,it's cheaper but the handle doesn't look nearly as good

the polymer handle will be more durable, and won't require any maintenance. stacked leather looks good and feels good, but is not very durable and will not age well, the problem is that leather doesn't like being soaked and dried out, which is going to happen a lot as hands sweat and people don't usually look after their knife blades, much less the handles.

Mine doesn’t say “U.S. Army” but says “USMC” instead. I wonder why the difference ?

@jonathannadeau6218 USMC stands for the "United States Marine Corp", they're a different branch of the US military.

The KaBar USMC is stronger, but significantly less keen

It's literally the same knife, just a different stamp. Maybe you're thinking of the Ontario version that currently holds a USMC contract? Because that one has a very thick grind.

it's okay, there are way better knives out there but they are not cost effective. i like the cost, durability and disposability, you can abuse them and not care that much. i pamper my SOG and my Gerber
