Beautiful car for an early 90s car. Still breaking necks in 2020-

Nsx Ca32 engine is too damn expensive to modify and too damn expensive to fix. K20 and k24 are so much cheaper to build and fix due to so many after market parts available for it at half the cost compare to ca32 parts. I too would put in a turbk k20 over a ca32 any given opportunity.

We are running the BW 7163 on our k24a2 powered e30 and it spools so fast that the car feels like a big all motor setup.

People going nuts because they swapped the C30 for a K20 lol Tell that to the Toyota engineers that won the SuperGT championship with a Supra swapping the 2JZ for a 3GS, HP is not everything, weight, balance and reliability is way more important

The S2000 is from WA, our NSX is from CA. We just made the drive up for GTA

1. The original C series NSX engine has little to no aftermarket support. 2. K series is lighter than the C series 3. There is endless support for the K series engine 4. The K series is better engineered than the C series 5. K series dimensionwise is smaller and fits snug in the NSX chassis.

Endoe ONE there are many videos of Gen 1 Acura NSX cars losing control from snap oversteer. How did your lighter weight K20 engine affect this problem?

@@timothybradley982 NSX's only had a snap oversteer issues with journalists and inexperienced drivers. If you're used to the quick rotation of an MR car and know not to lift mid corner if it starts to slide, you're fine. The rotation is what makes them quick, it's just knowing how to manage it.

I'm not sure I understand the purpose of the k-swap into an NSX. Do you save that much weight and make that much more power than say a supercharged c32?

There is a substantial weight savings, the car is easier to work on, parts and engines are readily available, it is as reliable, and it can make the same power.

Ca32 engined are too expensive to modify and fix. There isn't a lot of 3rd market support for that motor. While K series, you have a ton of support and reduce cost. You can blow a k motor and not cry about it

Whats the ratio of final drive in transmission? And brand of gears on it?

The internal geometry is all wrong for endurance racing. The rod to stroke ratio is terrible and the stroke is too long.

Now why the hell would u swap the V6 for a K20?

You can get better baffling in the rocker cover for less blow by. @taylorrae

Nsx’s are surprisingly light and his is probably 2500 ish lbs. Plus he says that it makes 420whp

Wings are for downforce at speed and around corners, not a certain horsepower number. Mainly, wings are most effective over 60mph. If you're going over 60mph regularly in a sporty way, a wing can be useful.

Who puts a 4 cylinder in a v6 car? I would've vr38 swapped it

Weight, space, cost per performance are some of the examples of why the K swap in the NSX makes sense.

It's sad that the C series was so pathetic that a 4 cylinder makes more sense in some cars. Honda should have put a V8 in the NSX, they could have based it on the B16.

@@Christusolus Yeah, I may have been a little harsh. The C engines were excellent in stock form, but they never really responded well to modifications.
