K2 r100 UFS 100mm Inline Skate Frame - REVIEW

Спорт

These are the K2 r100 Frames. They run around $99 US. They’re machined out of extruded aluminum which makes them extremely solid. They’re UFS and are designed to fit four 100mm wheels.

    @@BacktoBlading LUV these frames! I'm using them with intuition liners. No problem on the wheelbase for me and I love how they are lighter and a bit more rockered than the wizards. Thx again

    The long frames give the stability feeling, I've got some Seba marathon 110s and jumping and the landings are amazing so much urethane to absorb the impacts. Most of the big wheel tri skates have far too short a frame length compared to their height. Are you gunna keep on skating them for the flat land maneuvers? Great review as always!! not enough people doing them (I'm guilty)

    You're right, almost all the triskates I've skated are 243mm base, which isn't long enough for me. That's what my Arrows are as well, feel fun skating around but any gaps or spins are too short. I'll keep skating these for freeskating, but might switch up with some UFS triskate frames eventually.

    If you are looking for.a K2 R100 frame. Go to EBay and search K2 Sodo. These skates are selling for super cheap less than $50. Toss the boots and you’ve got a K2 R100 frame. It doesn’t matter what size it is they are universal.

    I haven't, maybe I should. I worry that since I already feel wiggly in the v13 with 58mm frames I'll feel crazy unstable with 110s. At least I can try them on the RB NJ, they'll probably feel great with that stiff boot.

    @@BacktoBlading Thank you for your reply. Yeah I think that should be actually desirable so they are somewhat easy to remove in order to rotate them? I'm waiting for some K2 R80 to arrive. Can you give me a couple tips of usual things that you encountered with them in terms of swapping rocker setups? My plan is to be able to "quickly" (relatively speaking) swap them when I reach a downhill or something that for sure will require more balance. Is it true some of the bolts use a square and not a hex tool? Which seems super stupid as I really like bringing my rollerblade tool (detachabe long bit) than one of these dangerous fixed T tools.

    nice, ill keep an eye out for that review. im not sure how it's value compares to that of the r100, for another 300 dollars it's a hefty price increase. what could be different aside from esthetics besides stiffness and a built in rocker, but k2 has an interchangeable rocker. im curious to find out.

    Your hex spacers seem to fit snug, my hex spacers easily drop out when trying to fit my wheels, I’ve also had a rattling noise from the hex spacers shaking about. I might have to glue them to the frame.

  • @freshasadaisy4782

    @freshasadaisy4782

    6 жыл бұрын

    Exactly. Frame length 273mm and with Trinity the hight would be the same like on 80mm wheel 165mm mounting frame. As fast as a 3x110 setup but def a smoother roll due to the additional wheel. Unfortunately there isnt a 4x90 Trinity frame on the market yet. I guess Powerslide knows it would weaken the Triskate marketing. They even shorten the Triskate frame and sell it as 3x90, ridculous for taller inline skaters. Btw the hub of a 90mm wheel has the dimensions of a 80mm wheel wich means more urethan and threrefor comfort.

    I'm totally on board, plus with this bolt system from K2 you cold give it a "natural rocker " witch feels amazing! But where is this legend from that the trinity mounting system is lower then the all the others?

  • @freshasadaisy4782

    @freshasadaisy4782

    6 жыл бұрын

    I measured standard mounting 165mm setups and also trinity setups. Its true Trinity can offer less hight BUT the difference is not impressive on small wheel skates, about 3 to 4 mm on a 4x80mm setup. However a 4x90 setup benefits more and a short 3x110mm or 3x125 setup even more. Long triskate frames dont benefit at all in comparison to the 195mm speed skate mounting bc the bigger gaps allow to sink in to reach the lowest stand possible even without Trinity. Trinity frames weight more thats also to consider at least for a speed skater. Tell more about your view on the matter lukas f.
