I am Miya from the Philippines, and I am 38. My fiancé from MN filed our K1 packet last June 12th and we are currently waiting for our NOA2. We just met in December 2023 but the connection and chemistry was just too strong that we knew we are meant for each other. I guess in our age, when you know you know! hello, I just want to ask, behind those conversation between the Consul and the interviewee convincing story, how come that many applicants brought a bunch of proof of relationship like photos, emails, call logs, itinerary etc. in their interview ? Are they useful or are their any cases where the Consul asked those proof of relationship? Thank for reply and your useful information.

They can be helpful if VO asks for them, but most of the time they don’t ask for documents. They want you to communicate it clearly instead.

Hi, my question is If France has more visa applicants from an African country than the US does, does that mean the visa processing (approval or rejection) for US visa applicants from that African country will be faster than in France? would it be less than year? thank you in advance sir.

It depends, you can look online to check the schedule for booking visa interview and see which ones are longer.

I have my interview soon next month. I see for India while filling for appointment. the K-1 is shown under immigration selection and also when enter DS-160 number it shows as DS-260 instead on appointment confirmation. bit confusing. Other then that hope for best.

Hello! Me and my fiancé recently got engaged and he has a previous ex in the Philippines where he signed the birth certificate of the child. Then later figured that the kid isn’t his child. Should we still state that he has a child since he signed the birth certificate? They already have no contact for many years now.

Hello I am waiting for an interview date in London for my K1 visa. My son who is 11 months old has a separate interview this month for Report Child born abroad as his father (my fiancé) is a US citizen is it correct I am applying for a K1 visa and my son a CRBA? Also I had a US visa in 2019 for crew member on a cruise liner which I did for 6 months and never returned too due to covid. Will this impact me getting a K1 visa if I still have an active crew member visa? Really appreciate a response thanks so much!

I have one question that my fiance just completed his graduation and in I-129 petition we showed that his dad is going to financially support us so for my fiancé visa interview for I-139 form does my fiance dad has to fill this form or my fiance have to fill the form because my fiance bank statement is not that good because he use his dads cards whenever he need any extra expenses please help I have interview on 17 July in India.

If I were you, I'd be more worried about the marriage actually working out than I would about her passing the interview. You said you only met once but you did not say for how long? A week? A month? In my opinion you should be living together for a least a month to even have a clue as to whether or not you are really compatible. And if she is by chance from Southeast Asia you should know that those girls are very emotionally immature and as such, they can seem very sweet at first, but they actually have very volatile personalities. Of course, if you get the Visa and she gets to the USA you will still have 90-days before you have to get married, and I would take full advantage of that time to see how she is adjusting to life in the USA and to being with you 24 hours a day every day. When people are in stressful situations from constantly being together that is when their true personalities show through. And lets face it, love does not mean squat if you are not truly compatible on every level.

I made a mistake on my DS160/k1 for the marital status aspect instead of clicking on single I clicked on other and box came out and I wrote Engaged in it.this was a silly mistake on my part will this affect my interview should I fill a new Ds160?

This is great information, but man does it seem crazy how you can be in a legit relationship, but if the interviewer doesn't believe it then DENIED! My fiancee and I met in Oct 2022, got engaged in Nov 2023. She attempted the B2 visa first because she wanted to come visit before getting married. Since she is from Colombia and they are highly scrutinized she was denied the B2. So we decided to accelerate our plans for marriage. Will that B2 denial cause any issues?
