Very good review and spot on that these shoes are the most versatile and wearable in the market. The midsole foam of these two shoes are different, the Hypercourt Supreme uses Surge 7.0 which will provide more energy return and to me feel more cushioned. The Hypercourt Express 2 uses Surgelite which is also very good, but not as plush as the Supreme. The outsole patterns are identical, but the durability in the Hypercourt Supreme will be better as K-Swiss uses a more durable compound in the rubber. Hypercourt Express 2 is available in a 2E for men and wide for women, Hypercourt Supreme is not. Both will fit players best with a medium or slightly wider foot in my opinion.

I’m on my second pair of the Hypercourt Express 2. First one I bought a half size bigger than my regular size and felt too big. Had to really tie it down, but worked ok. The all-court soles lasted a good 10 months on mostly clay. Didn’t have extreme traction on clay and allowed me to slide intentionally and unintentionally. Side to side transition was slower than a dedicated clay outsoles. The second pair I bought is in my regular size with clay outsoles. Huge difference on clay. Much more nimble with quick side to side transition. Not much of a slider so this works perfectly on me. With my regular size, my feet feel more locked down and secured. Both are very light and comfortable in our hot climate.

I live and Bermuda and we are very limited in tennis shoes right now and I bought the express 2. I found it to be light and grip the court hard from the go so it was a little difficult at first because I’m a slider. However after a few plays I am able to get that sliding so maybe a little break in was needed. Also I think good footwork for this is definitely needed that flange almost made me roll my ankle. Would love to try the supreme though as it seems to have better ankle support that is also something I have worried about playing in these. But great review as always Zach. 👍🏾👍🏾

I purchased the Hypercourt Supremes in late summer and played primarily pickleball through the fall. The bootie liner construction gives a great heel lockdown, something I've struggled with from most other shoes. The toebox is also fairly roomy, an increasing necessity as I have aged. The Durawrap and flanges provide all the stability I need. They've been very durable, looking almost brand new after 4 months of play (10-12 hours/week). I did have a break in period with the left shoe as my long toes push the ball of my foot back into the arch rise. The footbed mostly molded to my foot over the course of about two weeks. I plan on trying an OTC orthotic to see if that helps even more.

  • @evanc1974
    @evanc19742 жыл бұрын

I have played lots of pickleball with the Express 2. The reason its such a popular shoe is its wider in the forefoot which tends to be an issue with some other shoe companies. Its a very solid shoe. Eventually i added a PowerStep orthotic to them as the foam is lite and started to break down a bit. As a larger player i eventually switched to the Ultrashot’s, but if you are a speed player the Express 2’s are terrific, comfy and durable.

Hey Zach, cheers for the in-depth shoe review as always. As a severely flat footed individual, i’ve always looked for wide 2E (even 4E) shoes. I have a custom made sport orthotic that adds alot of heel height, so my heel ends up slipping out of the majority of shoes I try on. So far, the new balance 696 in 4E was able to accomodate my sport orthotic without any heel slippage. I think the large flange on the side helped with my wide forefoot. I then moved to the hypercourt express 2 just to differentiate. The original model (not 2E version) was able to surprisingly fit my orthotic without slippage. I now plan to move to the ON Roger Pro so that I can try something a little lighter. I genuinely enjoy ON shoes for their comfortablility. Do you think it would be a good move? Heel is 2.5 cm and it has a wide forefoot flange like the New Balance - but I wanted to grab your opinion first.

Yes! I've been waiting for this review! I work in a pro shop in NE Florida and let me tell you, I can't keep these on my shelves! My customers have the exact same thoughts, it's a comfortable and supportive shoe that is relatively lightweight (comparatively speaking of course). My customer demographic does tend to be 40+ tennis and pickleball players who don't really feel the need to have a "clunky" and supportive shoe such as an Ultrashot 3 or a Eclipsion 3. It's a cushioned and wider profile shoe with a relatively lower arch and it just works for so many folks. In my experience, it is a little too wide for my feet (currently wearing court ff novaks with the laces fairly tight lol) but nothing but positive things to say about this shoe.

Also, i have a lot of room in the toe box.Oh and also I felt a little heel slippage.

Anyway, I have been a kswiss hypercourt express 2 user like forever as it fits my wider feet well, I tried both normal and 2E and never had problems. Recently I got the kwiss hypercourt supreme with the same size (but no 2E) and it hurts my left little toe for the entire session. I had to give my new shoes away as its not wearable for me. Please respond! I wear super feet, and I am curious if the Supreme version in this video comes with a removable insole? I usually wear 10.5’s in Nike, but recently purchased size 11 New Balance 574’s, because I would put the super feet ON TOP of the insole, and needed a little bit more room. I just learned that Super Feet should be replacing the insole, not going on top of it, SO, my dilemma is what size should I order the Hypercourt Supreme’s in, if I’m using Super Feet? Nike has always been safe in that I could always order 10.5’s across the board. But with my Super Feet dilemma not sure for these Supreme’s I want to order!

I had the express 2 at one point. I had to cut that lateral flange off the upper of the shoe because it was digging in to the side of foot, making that part really uncomfortable. Maybe if had got a 2E width it wouldn't have done this, but aside from that, I thought it was a decent shoe. The express 2 definitely needed more lock down in the heel. I constantly felt like my foot was gonna come straight out when push off to get to the net.

I played with the Hypercourt Supreme for a few months before I had to put them to the back of my rotation due to the outsole wearing out near the toe. I wonder if the durability issues were related to the color of the rubber on the outsole, because based off my experience with basketball shoes, sometimes different colored outsoles of the same shoe perform differently.

I’d say at least 30% of the adult players at my rec club (4,000 members) wear HCE2s. Many have 2-3 different pairs, as they go on sale often, and each year they update with new colors without changing the fit. Love mine. I switched to HCE2 (2E) from NB 1007 (4E). Fit is better on K Swiss, kinda like a 3E, really. And upper durability is way improved. NB really dropped the ball on the 1007 with the fabric tearing on the upper, see Amazon reviews, it's awful. Can't find the Hypercourt Extremes in 2E anywhere. I've heard the Ultrashots fit pretty wide too, with the regular width fitting like a 2E. May try them out some day, but I'm done with NB.

HB (Herring Bone) sole - suitable for clay courts, artificial grass courts, smashcourts. Deep grooves for maximum grip on the court.

I am a tennis pro that works on Clay courts . I teach about 6-8 hours a day and was wondering which clay court shoe you would recommend - the KSwiss Hypercourt Express 2 or the Asics Gel Resolution 8. I can get them both with Clay Court Outsoles. Currentely I am usinf the Adidas Soul Court Boost but they are unavailable in Clay versions.

If I had to guess Id picked the express 2 for Tailor's bunion over the supreme. The express 2 feels a little roomier and online fit details say it's more generous. What do you think for that particular issue

I just bought the Hypercourt Express 2. I've just played on then för 2 hours and noticed right away that the triangle shaped rubber reinforcement on the side diggs in to my foot and it gets real painfull after a while. Did you notice or heard if anyone else that have this problem? And why? //Best regards Jb

Hi have you ever clean the inside of the shoe? Like wash it? I feel like my basketball shoe is starting to smell from the sweat. I always dry them out but like the sweat is still in there. Do you have any tips or you just leave them smelly lol

I bought an inexpensive ($30) boot dryer and put my shoes on it after each time I play, this has helped tremendously with odor and I would like to think may extend the life of materials.

@@Chavanun555 The boot dryer I am referring to is a table or floor unit with multiple air spouts (mine has 4), each accommodating a shoe/ boot/ glove. They are used by snow sports enthusiasts, outdoors-people, laborers, etc to quickly(quicker than air drying) dry equipment. If you search for “boot dryers” you should see many results for the style I’m referring too. I think I know of the mini-fan type you asked about, various types may be more or Less effective. The one I have is “Peet Dryer”. (With a “P). Incidentally, this is also very handy for folks who wash their shoes regularly - like washable Sketchers shoes - and don’t want to hear them banging in the dryer or overheating. P.S. -After quick search I realized I picked my dryer up on deep discount from retail pricing. It was a wholesale club clearance. You may expect to pay more than $30 for the brand I mentioned and other supposed high-end dryers.

I have the Hypercourt Express 1. I really love the comfort, feel, and toe room. But, I would like something with better midsole durability and better ankle stability. I would like a more locked-in feeling. Do you have any recommendations? I am not a slider. I only play on HC. Thank you!
