enjoyable reaction to a PHENOMENAL performance. Before this, knowing only the song's "boxing ring" video, I was seeing a top-5 finish along the lines of Konstrakta. Now that Käärijä has won UMK by a mega-landslide and on the back of this performance, I'm now fairly sure this will finish top 3 in Liverpool. SHOULD win COULD win but I fear there may be an "Arcade" waiting to make this 2023's "Soldi." History, please prove me wrong.

The closest of 'Arcade' I could think of is Queen of the Kings or Evidement. Actually come to think of it I don't know if this year there's a song that's so...safely competent as Arcade, even the two songs I mentioned kinda played a bit with their genres.

The dancers are metaphora for the pina coladas that Käärijä is planning to drink. At the beginning he is holding the drinks in his leash and then drinks them. The song is about going out after long week and having fun, drinking and dancing

The outfits are typical Los Angeles Salsa or Ballroom costumes (all US dance styles). They are not the classic cuban outfits for original cha cha cha, and definitely not original argentinian tango outfits at all!

Finnish people are usually introverts so the song tells about Finnish drinking culture. Go to a bar after a hard week, be quiet and icy at first, then have a few pina coladas and dance away 💃🕺

It's entertaining show, I'm not big fan of the song. I understand why people like it but as a song have simple lyrics about getting drunk, too much different messy styles of music. We need more good quality songs in Eurovision 2023. Not just tv songs

The lyrics are more complex than that and really describe the finnish cultural context well. I recommend checking out the original with english lyrics. I have a finnish husband and find the lyrics genious as I've seen this play out in real life many times lmao. I find the mix of different genres super cool and creative, and not at all messy. But that's difference in taste I think.

Eurovision is a party eveny and this is party on every level.

Such a song can only thrive in the protected and sterile laboratory environment of the ESC. Totally detached from reality outside.
