It's the same thing which happens 99% of the time, no one can come close to the original. Even when exo covers other's songs it's the same because we get used to listening the original version which was created with such effort

EXO songs are known as the hardest to cover, so I'm so amazed to those who covers EXO songs.

Bigbang, Super Junior, TVXQ will remain legends. But EXO set the standard of KPOP even though the popularity now isn't high as the other group but you have to admit EXO is the standard of KPOP. All Idols admires EXO for being great artist not only because they're popular its because of the talent and quality of their music. Even EXO does not have a hardcore very powerful choreography but they always give trendy moves and style that leaves impact to the audience and hard to pull off. Their musics, singing, dancing are always appealing to people. That's why they are the STANDARD of KPOP to this generation.

No they are massively popular on earth. Their fandom is so big that in 2018 exols was in guiness world book record for being the largest fandom. And still exo has set the standards of kpop . The only thing is we exols dont mention exo or exols in every comment section of South Korea or kpop related video . I am multistan but I cant deny the fact that exo are legends and they only got so many kpop haters into kpop including me .

Nah. Bigbang is the king of kpop. Many kpop idolize them like bts, monsta x, got 7, gfriend, wendy red velvet, zico, teen top, btob, and some actress and actor. I have never heard any idol idolize exo if there is an idol cover their song that does not mean they are their fan it's normal other idol do that too but it's different with bigbang, idols that l mentioned above really idolizing bigbang

@@zs8468 lol if they have more awards than bigbang it's because they make a comeback more often than bigbang exo is frequently make a comeback every year while bigbang make a comeback once in 3 years, Idol just nomintated when they make a comeback and release song and album that makes sense. But when bigbang comeback they slay remember when 2015-2016 bigbang comeback is slayed and beat exo in every awards and they are the most highest paid kpop in 2015-2016 even beat maroon 5 and then since late 2016 till now they're in hiatus due to military service so they vacum from releasing any stuff. Exo may selling out ticket in 0.2 second but bigbang held the record for the largest kpop concert with gathering 1.5 million attendance and became the most attended concert by korean act of all time without any extention before bts broke it they also the most digital selling with 150 million sales. If you search king of kpop it's gonna be picture bigbang pop up if you're talking about idol of idol well bigbang is the one their idol fans is BTS, Monsta x, got7, monsta x, teen top, han ga in, IU, ailee etch even will smith family, rihanna, pharel william, paris hilton admiring them and follow their ig. And the most importently they wrote and compose their own song unlike exo 😂

Other than how hard the moves it also hard to get the same feeling in the dance. Respect everyone tho since everyone have their own style.

Even when EXO themselves werent there (the event or something) their songs still be played

No one covering wolf and mama because most parts of the song is highnote.

The difference between EXO and other groups is vocal. In EXO, everyone singing certain parts in chorus which creates harmony. Like part 1 maybe 3 person, then 2nd part another 2 person. So, all these created harmony. Though their solo only 1 or 2 lines, but the chorus really makes big impact. Other groups only 1 or 2 singers only but in EXO all are singers including rappers & dance line. And the most important thing is, no one can do adlibs & runs in kpop more than D.O. Maybe I'm wrong but that's my opinion.

I'm a mutli-stan... I follow a total of maybe 16 groups from 2nd Gen to now... and what you said is true for most SM groups... if not only SJ, but especially EXO. Another non-SM group I've seen this is BTOB..

I love the A.C.E group. Their choreography is on the point. But still, EXO is EXO.❤

They are all Good and I'm thankful for covers but Still the Vocals, the adlibs, presence and Power of how EXO Dance it hahahaha no one can beat the Legends 👌 But it is also a good thing that they see EXO as the standard and I'm so proud huhuhu

They are all good but no one can beat the legend...

Wow my respect to these groups. They can pull the dance but not the vocals. They're great though, but EXO's songs are so hard to cover with that intensity of vocals plus the dancing.

You really got to give props to the groups that covered EXO but it really is different when EXO performs those songs. The vocals are more rich and the harmonies are definitely on a different level. What I noticed though is that when NCT Dream did their version, their dance seemed at the same level/intensity as EXO. So my theory is, SM's training really just sets the standards high.

EXO set the standards so high for me. Why am I looking for adlibs and harmonies? 🤦🏻‍♀️

There's just something in the way exo performs that's why no one can ever exceed them

Maybe it's just my opinion. No offense to these groups! They were really great. But no one came close to the EXO. As I was watching these covers, it didn't feel just right as I used to watch EXO doing them. You know, it's just the feeling, that something is off while watching these covers. A little close I felt was Ateez's Growl and VeriVery's covers. Maybe it's EXO. I miss them! ❤️

Why exos songs are hard to cover or top? Me: Aside from the fact that they are full of nerve wrecking high notes and/or falsettos, the one covering it must have to give off the same feels, angst, and passion while performing the songs. You need not have to top exos songs as you perform it, rather you should try and give off an equally delicate and stunning performance like exo.
