Actually, Xiumin has the highest range in EXO (though that clip was very old), but Chen is more controlled, as far as I observed.

I'm a new fan and my EXO journey started with Cream Soda. But the first time I heard Chen's voice, it was over. I just knew he was special man. Hearing him sing makes me wanna cry (in a good way). Dang. So excited to discover more of him and EXO!

Chen is definitely a league of his own. This guy has an incredible range. He's not even my bias, but he shookt me every time. Amazing!

Jonghyun was a true EXO-L, and a supportive soonbae. He knew all their lyrics, and would sing along to every single one. He even howled along in Wolf. As a Shawol, it touches me to know Jjong had such a lasting influence on his hoobaes.

Someone who can execute high notes precisely are excellent vocalist. Whoever said that will be a idiot who just love catchy music. I've 2 favourite singers Ariana Grande and Shreya Ghoshal ( she sings for indian movies in 20+ languages ) there is no one parallel to them in singing techniques Similar case here.

Its not only his amazing powerful voice beltings that attracted me, first song that made me crazy over his voice was everytime that emotional delivery there is almost no high noted but the affection with that voice made me crazy . All of his osts is amazing the feel he execute he is like a story teller his solos are also about emotional delivery with ranging from very soft affectionate voice to anger,sorrowful powerful voice . His role in EXO is mainly doing those crazy highnotes but ofcourse he do many background vocals , even low & midrange parts. Im a sucker for his low notes too. It sounds more manlier & kinda sexy.

@@mohammedshafimpm5801 go to military doesnt mean that that person have to leave his group. every men has to go to the military before they reach 30. including idols (no matter how famous they are). they have to serve for their country for 2 years and half i think. military service is a mandatory service for men, they will take a break from the music industry and come back after completed their duties.

They can't do this anymore to their active groups specially if the member had the main position in the group. After they kicked out Sica during 2014 that's the time SNSD and SM fall, they kicked out one of the K-POP gems or should i say ICON because Sice most of the time got and have the ICONIC LINES in every song of SNSD. I'm sorry if SM kick-out Jongdae, EXO will never be the same.

Every exo member has different capabilities but chen's voice has something that always surprise me all the time.

Hello~ Chen indeed has good english. We don't know his exact level since he never had long conversation on camera, but few fans who met him in Dubai and int. fans who came to his fansigns, noted that he's able to held conversation in full English (fan from fansign had almost 20 minutes long convo with him). He also was seen helping other members with English (as in translating for them) and interviewers from America and Dubai noted that Chen has best understanding of English from group.

Actually many korean are very smart in english even they are very good than english native speaker. But most of them prefer to speak in korean because they are proud with their own language like japanesse. Thats why korean idols and artists rarely speak english because they want to show off how they proud with their own language. Thats what are been teaching in their country. So if you go to korea dont assume korean are rude just because they dont reply you with english, so you have to understand korean if you want to speak with them.

Some ppl only know him for his notable skills in hitting high notes, but Chen also have a strong low register (idk the correct term but it is something like the low notes) plus the vibrato. Also, he sing differently whenever he's with exo, exo cbx and as soloist. His voice seems different when he's in group and when he's solo.

Not just kpop idol, but actually korean also have many talented non-kpop singers that can sing in wide range so thats not really shocked. Just because in kpop world there are rarely idols that can really sing in highnote then evrybody got shocked. For me its not something new, because im not just a kpoper but im also go through the whole korean entertainment industry. Just for e.g there are Kim Kyung Ho and Lee Hyuk of ex-Norazo also praised as good vocalist in korea.

Chen is really something else.
