I hope top gun directors take notes from this movie. Those fighter jets you see here are not flying around like a bunch of arrogant partying cowboys. They take their flying seriously and with a lot of respect to protect the president.

I don't think so! Because of the high volume of suction from the two engines, I may be wrong. In this case there was an engine failure, but when the soldier comes, they were on.

While there are stellar performances (William Macy especially), there are a few cringey moments. (I’m looking at you, Glenn Close.) The awkward cut to the ad hoc candlelit vigil in front of the White House is gag-worthy. This could’ve been underplayed loads and pack a more powerful emotional punch. I really like Wolfgang Peterson, but I don’t think he was in control of this as much as he would’ve liked.

Airforce One cant land with that damage United 232 would beg to differ. They almost did it with no flight controls. Airforce One said they have sluggish flight controls. Southwest 85 I think it was, they landed with a rudder hard over. Naaawwww, Airforce One coulda landed fffiiiiiiine.
