I had 90% in plus two. I got alotment in a self financing college (which was my last option in the application) in 2012. I remember my friend who had 75% got admission in Aided College through reservation. Even though I had a good score, I had to pay fees in an Arts College. So, I decided to do Masters degree abroad. I took loan and paid it back and now in a good financial position. There are so many things that needs to be changed. 1) Job and college admissions should not be based on reservations. Give the job to the deserved ones. 2) Start more industries in Kerala 3) Provide better infrastructure including good roads, public toilets and public transport 4) Change the education system - reduce the number of written exams - include more practical exam - reduce the number of hours in colleges that will give students time to do part time jobs

I had the same experience.... you know why, when we choose a self financing college in our application, we got First allotment there...I didn't know about this when I was 18. But after that, for my sister we selected only government colleges .So she got an admission in Merritt.

I was a physics student in Kerala, there is no updation of syllabus, no job orientation and lack of inculcation of any skills at all. The education has to be transformed to meet the needs of today, today's industry.

@@highway7672 ആര് പറഞ്ഞു. സാലറി ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ട്. വിദ്യഭ്യാസ യോഗ്യത അനുസരിച്ചാണ് പത്താം ക്ലാസ് യോഗ്യത വെച്ച് ഒരു ലക്ഷം കിട്ടണം എന്ന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കരുത്. അതിന് buisness തന്നെ ചെയ്യേണ്ടി വരും. ഞാൻ പറയുന്നത് ഡിഗ്രീ,btech, diploma, തുടങ്ങി ചെയ്തു വരുന്ന യുവാകളുടെ കാര്യമാണ്. നല്ല package തന്നെയാണ് government ൽ ഉള്ളത്. പക്ഷെ പാർട്ടിക്കാർക്കാണ് ജോലി കൊടുക്കുന്നത് . നല്ലോണം പഠിച്ചവരും സാമ്പത്തികം ഉള്ളവരും വിദേശത്തേക്ക് പോകും. തീരെ പഠിക്കാത്തവർക്കും പ്രശ്നം ഇല്ല. മിഡിൽ ക്ലാസിൽ ഉള്ളവർ പെടും.psc എഴുതി റാങ്ക് list ൽ വന്നാലും നിയമനം നടക്കാതെ പോവുന്നു.

ഒന്നും അല്ല, ചുമ്മാ ഒരു ഡിഗ്രി പഠിച്ചിട്ടു എന്ത് ജോലിയാണ് കിട്ടുന്നത്, കോവിഡിന് ശേഷം മെഡിക്കൽ related ജോബിന് പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് നഴ്സിങ്ങിന് demand കൂടി. ഏത് സമയത്തും ജോലി നഷ്ടപ്പെടില്ലന്ന് മനസിലായി പലർക്കും. ഒപ്പം വിദേശത്തേക്ക് പോകാനും ചാൻസ് കൂടി.

ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ പേർക്ക് ജോലി നൽകുന്ന സംസ്ഥാന psc കേരള psc ആണ്. കേരളം താരതമ്യേന ചെറിയ സംസ്ഥാനം ആയിട്ടും. പിൻവാതിൽ പിൻവാതിൽ എന്ന് വെറുതെ പറഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നതിൽ കാര്യം ഒന്നും ഇല്ല.

കാലഹരണപ്പെട്ട സിലബസ് ആണ് ഇതിനു പ്രധാന കാരണം. ഇപ്പോഴും അധ്യാപകർ notes കൊടുത്ത് വിദ്യാർത്ഥി കളുടെ കഴിവിനെ നിരുസ്ഥാഹപ്പെടുതുന്ന്. പ്രധാനമായും അധ്യാപകൻ മാറാൻ തയ്യാറാവുന്നില്ല. ഇത്രയും പ്രതിസന്ധിയിൽ ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും 70 ലക്ഷം വരെ മാനേജ്മെൻ്റിന് കൈക്കൂലി കൊടുത്ത് കോളേജ് അധ്യാപകൻ ആകാൻ ആള് ഉണ്ട് എന്നത് ഒരു വിരോധാഭാസം ആണ്😢

ഒരു കാരണവശാലും college പോവരുത്.+2 കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ സ്വന്തമായി ചിന്തിച്ച് എന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യുക 🙌ജീവിതം രക്ഷപെടും....

ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ് സയൻസ് ഡിഗ്രി പഠിച്ചിട്ട് കാര്യമില്ല എന്നതാണ് വസ്ഥുത . ഒരു സ്കില്ലും ഇല്ലാത്ത ഡിഗ്രി കൊണ്ട് psc പരീക്ഷ എഴുതാം . പിന്നെ ചിട്ടി കമ്പനി പണിക്ക് പോകാം . നേരെ മറിച്ച് എന്തെങ്കിലും ടെക്നിക്കൽ / മെഡിക്കൽ ഡിഗ്രിക്ക് പോയാൽ സ്വകാര്യ മേഖലയിൽ ആയാലും തൊഴിൽ ലഭിക്കും .

2021 ഞാൻ +2 പാസ് ആവുമ്പോൾ എനിക്ക് 96 percent മാർക്ക്‌ അന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്നിട്ടും എനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപെട്ട കോളേജിൽ ഇഷ്ടപെട്ട subject കിട്ടീല്ല ഇപ്പോൾ പഠിക്കുന്ന subjectil ഞാൻ തൃക്തി ഉണ്ട് എന്നാലും നല്ല മാർക്ക്‌ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും ആഗ്രഹിച്ച വിഷയം കിട്ടാത്തതിൽ ഒരു സങ്കടം ഇപ്പോൾ നോക്കുമ്പോൾ കേരളത്തിലെ കോളേജുകളിൽ സീറ്റ് ഒഴിഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്നു 😂😂 എന്താ കഥ

ഈ നാലും മൂന്നും ഏഴ് പിള്ളേരെ പടിപ്പിക്കാൻ 70000 രൂപ ശമ്പളം കൊടുത്ത് അധ്യാപകരെ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്തിനാണ്. ? പിള്ളേര് കുറവുള്ള ക്ലാസ്സുകൾ പാൽ കോളജിലെ ഒരു കോളജിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി കൂടെ?

Earlier it was the students who used to face this existential crisis, but for now, the faculty is also facing the same. So they don't know how to navigate the students. My professor of wireless communication in the US was a retired CTO of motorola . His final exam was open book and open laptop, to answer those you needed deep understanding of different wireless standards and apply them with reasons. It was a fascinating higher education system

വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ധാരാളം നല്ല യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റികൾ ഉണ്ട് . പക്ഷെ ചില രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഒരു ബിസിനസ് ആയി നടത്തുന്ന തരംതാണവയും ഉണ്ട് .... വിദേശ പഠനത്തിനായി പോകാൻ തയ്യാറാകുന്നവർ , അവിടുത്തെ കാര്യങ്ങളെ പറ്റി നല്ല ബോധം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം . ഏജൻ്റുമാർ പല മോഹന വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങളും നൾകും പക്ഷേ അവിടെ എത്തുമ്പോൾ ആണ് അറിയുന്നത് പറ്റിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നത് . മിക്ക രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും സ്റ്റുഡൻ്റ് വിസയിൽ വരുന്നവർക്ക് നിയമപരമായി , ആഴ്ച്ചയിൽ 20 മണിക്കൂർ മാത്രമേ ജോലി ചെയ്യാൻ അനുമതിയുള്ളു . പഠനത്തോടൊപ്പം ജോലി ചെയ്ത് കടം വീട്ടാം എന്നത് വെറും വ്യാമോഹം . പോകുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ വിസ നിയമങ്ങളും , തൊഴിൽ നിയമങ്ങളും മനസിലാക്കിയിട്ട് പോകുന്നതാണ് നല്ലത് . അല്ലെങ്കിൽ കഷ്ടപ്പെടേണ്ടി വരും .....

We need high quality autonomous institutes like Ashoka university, ISB Hyderabad, IIIT (Hyderabad, Delhi, Bangalore). For these type of institutes, government investment is less or nil, but the barrier is the regressive mindset Kerala society and government towards private Institutions.

Normal degrees require research for a sustainable career growth and especially in science field to get a phd position is a task and even after acquiring a phd position position,the uncertainty of things further and the large time period to complete it is another thing

4 വർഷത്തെ degree കൊണ്ടുവന്ന minister ക്ക് അഭിവാദ്യങ്ങൾ....... 🔥

വിദേശത്ത് വരരുത് എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു ഒരു പറ്റം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയ ല് ഇറങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇങ്ങനെ ഇവർ ചെയ്യുന്നത്, അവിടെ ആൾ കൂടി അവരുടെ opportunity നഷ്ടമാകും എന്ന ഭയത്തിൽ ആണു്. വിദേശത്തെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ കൂടുതൽ കേരളത്തോട്ടും....🤭😂 ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നെ കേരളത്തിലെ പല കോളേജ്കളിൽ അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാൻ, ഒമാൻ,മാലിദ്വീപ് ,ചില ആഫ്രിക്കൻ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ നേപ്പാൾ, ശ്രീലങ്ക ചില മധ്യ ഏഷ്യൻരാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ ഒക്കെ ആളുകൾ പഠിക്കാൻ എത്തുന്നു... ചിലർ ഫാമിലി ആയിട്ട് പോലും ആണ് എത്തുന്നത്. പിന്നെ വിദേശത്ത് പോകുന്ന ഇന്ത്യക്കാർ.... മിക്കവാറും ആളുകൾ പോകുന്നത് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ തങ്ങൾക്ക് അവസരങ്ങൾ ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നത് മാത്രം കരുതി അല്ല.ആ പോകുന്നവരുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം അവിടത്തെ ലൈഫ് style ഉം ഉയർന്ന ജീവിത രീതിയും നിയന്ത്രണം ഇല്ലാത്ത ലൈഫ് style കൂടി ആണ്. ഇവിടെ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ലഭിക്കാത്ത പല സൗകര്യങ്ങളും അവർക്ക് ആ രാജ്യത്ത് ലഭിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം വരെ. ഈ പറഞ്ഞതൊന്നും നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്ത് ലഭിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ കാരണം നമ്മൾ തന്നെയല്ലേ. നമ്മൾ രാജ്യത്ത് നമ്മൾ പാരമ്പര്യവും തേങ്ങയും ഒക്കെ പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും അതൊന്നും തിരുത്താൻ നോക്കത്തില്ല. ഇവിടെ ജാതിയും മതവും ആചാരങ്ങളെ അനാചാരങ്ങളെയും കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. എന്നിട്ട് അയ്യോ ഞങ്ങൾക്കൊന്നും കിട്ടുന്നില്ല എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു സ്ഥലം വിടും.... 😏 ഇതാണ് പരമമായ രഹസ്യം 😂🤭🤭

One of the main reason is people not getting jobs after pursuing degree. They are left with huge debt and all they get is entry level jobs. Lot of people try for PSC too but politics is another issue. New generations either go to placement based courses and get into a good job or leave the country for good opportunities.

ഈ പറഞ്ഞത് സത്യമാണ്. കൊമേർഷ്യൽ ലാബിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ടെസ്റ്റും ഇൻസ്റ്റ്‌മെന്റും കോളേജുകളിൽ ഇല്ല. പക്ഷെ ഇതു രണ്ടും കൂടെ കണക്ട് ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു institute ഉണ്ട് biogenia institute of chemical instrumentation. കോഴിക്കോടും കൊച്ചിയിലും ആണ് ഉള്ളത്. ഞാൻ അവിടുന്ന് കോഴ്സ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട് ഇന്ന് commercial ലാബുകളിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ടെസ്റ്റ് കളും സോഫിസ്റ്റിക്കേറ്റഡ് ഇൻസ്ട്രുമെൻറ്സും പഠിപ്പിച്ചു തരും. അനാലിറ്റിക്കൽ ഫീൽഡിൽ ജോലി കിട്ടാൻ നല്ലതാണ്. ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ elemetsil work ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Outdated syllabus , unscientific academic calendar , delay in exam result publication. Vast syllabus ( majority topics are not important ). Eg: Kerala University ✨

The attitude of teachers in many of the aided colleges is too bad. They consider many of the students as criminals even though they are having a progressive mindset with lot of aims. Even the principal takes a decision after talking with the management as if like puppets. From real experience of my sibling

നല്ല വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ഉള്ളവരാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും. അതിനനുസരിച്ചുള്ള ജോലി ഇല്ല എന്നതാണ് വാസ്തവം. തുച്ഛമായ ശമ്പളത്തിന് കിട്ടുന്ന ജോലി കൊണ്ട് അടിസ്ഥാന ചെലവുകൾ നിർവഹിക്കാൻ പോലും സാധിക്കുന്നില്ല. അത്യാവശ്യം സാമ്പാദിക്കാം എന്ന് കരുതി പുറത്തേയ്ക്ക് ഒഴുക്ക് കൂടിയപ്പോൾ ഇനി അവിടെയും അവസരങ്ങൾക്ക് സാധ്യത ഇല്ല എന്ന് കേൾക്കുന്നു. Daily wages ഉള്ള അടിസ്ഥാന ജോലിക്ക് ആണ് ഇപ്പോൾ പിന്നെയും വരുമാനം ഉള്ളതും ആളുകളെ ആവശ്യം ഉള്ളതും. സ്വന്തം നിലവാരവും കണ്ട സ്വപ്നങ്ങളും എല്ലാം മാറ്റി വെച്ച് അതിനു പോയാൽ തന്നെ ഇത്ര പണം ചെലവിട്ട് പഠിച്ചത് എന്തിനു എന്ന ചോദ്യം ബാക്കി നില്കുന്നു.

It is better to go abroad and do your masters if you actually intended to go abroad. I see a lot of people do their masters in India and then go abroad and do it again. It is waste of time, money and effort. Most of the countries do not value our education much. So go for masters abroad and find ways to land a good job and build your career. I doo agree some kids might return, but that is alright majority would find their way towards their goals. We do have to accept that most of these students that go abroad are not of top quality as such. The talented and skilled would succeed, the remainder might have to return back to India.

Why would any foreign university have any such programme with college in kerala? Once a top college in kerala namely University college TVM is a hub for communists. Students are forced to take part in political rallies. Even tier 2 colleges in india would be involved with colleges in kerala in exchange programme. May be CPM can help get some exchange programme with colleges in north korea
